1 John 3:16-17
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?”
There is very likely someone you will see or hear from that has a need that you can help with today. It might be as simple as someone homeless that you pass by that you slip a bill to. It might be paying for the person behind you in the drive though. Maybe a friend needs some time off to do some errands and you offer to watch their kids. Whether these seem like big or small things, they are ways to show love and care and for a moment lay down your life for someone else.
Christ paid the price so that we are free. We are no longer burdened from our past. You are worthy, you are accepted, you are loved. That some forgiveness, acceptance and love can be paid forward daily. If you see a need, take what you have on hand and give it. What you give comes back to you in its own miraculous ways. So do not see giving as you having less. See giving as an eternal flow of giving and receiving that is always in motion and is always present.
God is with you wherever you go and share the love of God as often as possible. Where do you see a need today? Who is on your heart to help?
