Okay, so when I first signed up for the competition, I KNEW when I was getting married. Did I have a clue how much commitment this Makeover2takever competition would take? NO. I can honestly say I have loved each and every moment!
I got married yesterday, June 21st, in Chattanooga, TN. It was my birthplace, and very sentimental to me. More on the wedding when I catch up on some much needed SLEEP!!
So, while trying to put the finishing touches on the wedding, in Chattanooga, poor Kimberly had yet another late late late night with me. I took my laptop so I could finish the challenge, lol...Hey, who has time to get married? We managed to get it finished and sent in on time. Kimberly was truly, truly amazing. She could tell I was short on focus.
Can you believe how many steps we go through when we have a contract? I started the list as soon as Rich announced the challenge, and I added to it daily. It is a mind blower, really. Just when I thought I had each step down, I would think of another one.
I hope I did enough this week. Being distracted has me concerned, because I don't want to leave the challenge. (More like, be asked to leave). Kimberly has given SO much to me the past couple of weeks. She is amazing and I want to say thank you. She truly kept me going this week and assuring me I could do it, and not to worry. I was panicked more than once, honestly. She was right though! Thursday night, I started putting my lists in order, and she worked with me for several hours, keeping me on track. My head it the pillow at about 2 a.m. Friday morning. I kept emailing Kimberly, "are you sure I have enough" "have I forgotten anything?"....My family kept telling me to quit the competition. "You can't do both". Bet me! There was NO way I was quitting, and NO way I wasn't going to give it my all. I can honestly say I did!
With that, best of luck to all of us, and to Kimberly Grant, my AWESOME mentor:
