RPAC----HELP ME!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

Last year an agent in our office was chairman of RPAC.  She had no one help on the committee.  So this year after being sudo RPAC committee member, I asked to serve.  Might as well get credit for working!

For the last three years, we have done an auction.  We have small things on silent auction.  Usually we have trips, signed sports memorbilia, ect.  on the live auction.  This year started at 6:00 and we were done by 8:30.

I thought it was painfully boring last year.  This year was just the same. Attendence was low.  We did a pretty good job of getting people to give their fair share.  But only a handful came to the event.

I know that times are a little tighter this year.  But I was curious....

Any good ideas?   What are other associations doing?  We have a young association.  We have extremely good turn out at our Christmas party.  So I know that we can get a big crowd.

I just am tired of status quo!

If it was a re-run of the same then everyone knew what would be asked of them .. $$$$$ so maybe if the cost of the event was fixed and the fun was unlimited then you would have a turn out more like the Christmas party

Actually Eric I didnt spend a dime!  There are people who come to spend the $$$.  The rest of us come to drink and socialize.  The cost was $15, which was the fair share.  Are you invloved with RPAC in your board?

We need believers and asking them to give a little is easier and better than all the hype and process of the auction. Tell the story of what RPAC does for them and get a commitment.

Terry, We do that by asking for their $15 which is fair share.  We are always looking for ways to make more.......
