Why Are There Words?
Yesterday, Melissa Jackson asked in the Q&A section about the words in Wordless Wednesday. And it is a very good question.
Because by its name (Wordless Wednesday) it would imply that no words were involved. Here’s a link to the Group, which started in October of 2008.
Over the years, Wordless Wednesday has morphed into what it is today. In some cases, people realized that unless there were 50 words in your post, you received no points. But for the most part, I feel that we still like to express ourselves with our words as well as our photos. Here is one of my first Wordless Wednesday posts.
Admittedly, it’s fun to find a photo where no words are necessary. It calls on our creative juices.
But that’s the beauty of this community. As long as your post is in line with the ActiveRain Community Guidelines, your blog is your own. Write what you want and when you want. Write for your readers and write in your own voice.
