When I think about how I would like things to go as an agent, I often pull from positive experiences that I have had in the past. I can't think of one specific agent that made me feel good about the transaction since I have worked with many great agents over the years where the transaction has been pretty smooth!
Communication is very important for me and that is why I always try to respond to everything as quickly as possible, even if it is just a text message to say I am in a meeting but I got their email, call or whatever and will address things as soon as my meeting ends. I know it frustrates me greatly to send out an email, text message or leave a voicemail message and then not hear anything back. I know that everyone is busy and it makes me feel a lot better when I at least get confirmation that my email, text message, phone call or whatever has at been received. So, I guess whether an agent is great or not relies heavily on their communication in my book. Even with difficult transactions, I have enjoyed overcoming hurdles with the other agent when both sides are communicating and able to find something that works for all parties involved, even though it isn't ideal for any of the parties involved. Bottom line, if you want to get along with Brian and be on his good side, you better communicate well, haha. If I ever fail to respond quickly, it usually means that I didn't receive the correspondence that someone is expecting to receive a reply to, so follow-up is never looked down upon.
