Monday Morning Gifts..The beginning of Summer

Monday Monday....our heat wave is ending, and a nice breeze is coming through the doors. Yes, this Monday morning is starting off just right. The birds are singing, the coffee is brewing and I'm putting some water on the garden. Birds love it in the morning and come swooping into and out of the Garden wetting their wings, and probably getting some of that summer heat off their little bodies. Here's a few images from the first week-end of summer.

Summers are supposed to be more laid back. That's an unwritten rule of course :) But that's just the way it is, unless you have children in year round school.....then the Traditional Summer is just a few weeks, instead of a few months.

And as we are just starting summer,

there are vacations to take,

trips to the beach, BBQ's,

and just lazy days.........

If we're lucky :)

Kathy - I LOVE those poppies!! They are spectacular! I've never seen glads on a fence rail before..interesting. I took the blog test but it didn't give me my results..maybe it's my computer. I'm glad you're heat wave is over!

Hi Linda- Oh yes, I think all of us are glad the Heat wave is ending.....it is so nice to have a cool breeze. I'm glad you like the pictures....and sorry about the results of the blog test...funny how different computers do different things....my result was Logical and Principled..:) Anyway, hope you have a great summer. Any special plans?

Staying cool here in the Texas heat!! That's #1! I may go see my daughter in about a month in E. Tennessee...go the the Smoky Mts..YES!

Your flowers are lovely Kathy. It's raining in NH...just an ulgy weather day but a very good real estate day so far.

Linda- Staying Cool....that should give you a ton of blogging ideas...how to stay cool in the Texas Heat.....and since Texans like to do things in a Big Way :) :) Yep, I will look for these tips...LOL :) Now going to the mountains during the summer really sounds like a good idea.

Monika- Thanks....I have a breeze right now, no rain, but hey I will take what I can get :) I love those "Good Real Estate Days" I just got a call from Florida to list a property out here.....so that's a good thing :)

Lisa- I am not sure the name....but they grow tall, and I just love them :) I think Linda knows the name .

Leslie- Oh, I'm with you on the garden, and how it gives such a good feeling/mood.......I have some seeds I brought back from Europe and am anxiously awaiting planting them. And sitting outside with a cool drink, looking at the birds and the flowers is just so relaxing.

HA! Summer may be laid back but a real estate agent who is laid back these days is going to be looking for a job.

His was pretty detailed LOL, and mine was that my blog was my result was Logical and Principled...hmmm logical maybe, but principled....probably not. Hi K... gawd I remember as a kid that our 3 month summer vacations used to feel as long as the rest of the year, probably beacuse we did so much, baseball, swimming, vacations, etc... Now is't just 3 phone bills and it's gone. I wanna be 10 years old again.

According to your test I'm a "Your Blogging Type is Logical and Principled"... I can live with that, I'll have to throw in some fun once in awhile. Love the pics, especially # 1, powerful/vibrant colors, would make a great print!

I sooo happy summer is finally here, its raining today but we needed it. Its funny your quiz pegs me as a: "Private Performer", LOL!!! :)

marti- Oh those days....I lived on a small cul-de-sac with 32 boys (and 4 girls) all about my age....we played ball, made forts, swam, and yes summer just seemed to last forever. Now...you're right, it just goes so fast. My Post for tomorrow is sort of about time going fast :)

Hi Kathy...The poppys are absolutely beautiful and look great with the purple flowers. The pretty pink ones look like hollyhocks to me.

Why hello Kathleen....how's all with you? I did take the photos, but they were taken down in North County San Diego.....one of the only flowers I don't have in my Garden are Poppies :)

Hi Kathy, I was going to ask about the photos and after reading all the coments I already know the answer. So where do you go in San Diego North County? 2nd Home, friends?

Ond day this summer or maybe even early fall, we should get the Greater San Diego and Riverside county members together for something of a get together. Maybe Matt or Bob or Rich or Brad or, Nicole, could join us? What do you think?

Hi William- I lived for years in Encinitas, and my daughter currently lives in Carlsbad. I go to Carlsbad to visit.

A get together...that would be nice. It would be hard to figure out who I would want to meet.....so I won't even go there :)

Summer certainly has arrived as the pool opened today for the first time and the weather forecast for the weekend is HOT! THE BIG 100, so I've pulled out the BBQ and I'm ready to go.
