While over the last two weeks we have finally gotten a taste of a  real winter, the generally mild winter we have been experiencing coupled with the warmth of strong inventory and great interest rates has brought the buyers out early.

If you are considering a home sale it is time to get your home ready and on the market.  Home buying and selling conditions are strong in our area and as we begin to think about spring, buyers are looking for their new home.  With the addition of 72,000 jobs in our area last year. low unemployment and historically low interest rates, people are here and ready to buy.  It takes 6 - 8 weeks to get to settlement on a sale after a contract is received and ratified and a seller can expect an average of 60 days on the market before getting a contract (this is affected, of course by location, condition of the home  and pricing).  So if you are looking for a summer move, it is time to get your home listed for sale.
