It feels like there is a holiday for just about anything. Did you celebrate National Cuddle Up Day (January 6th), Step in the Puddle and Splash Your Friends Day (January 11th), or Squirrel Appreciation Day (January 21st)? Yesterday was not only Valentine's Day but also National Cream-Filled Chocolates Day. We hope at least some of you celebrated it even if you did not know it was happening. Well, February 25th happens to be National Clam Chowder Day. And Ventura Harbor Village wants to help you celebrate.

National Clam Chowder Day at Ventura Harbor Village
Three great Village restaurants offer delicious options for how to celebrate Clam Chowder Day. The 805 Bar serves a scrumptious chowder with capers and bacon out on their patio. The Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood restaurant offers a warm, inviting cup of clam chowder for just $3 when you order one of their amazing seafood entrees. And, of course, Brophy Bros Clam Bar offers some of the best and freshest clam chowder around. They serve it with an amazing slice of sourdough bread that pairs perfectly with this seafood delicacy. So make Ventura Harbor Village your destination of choice for lunch or dinner on February 25th.
Main Street Moves Continues Through 2022
Last year, local restaurants felt the pinch due to COVID-19 restrictions on interior dining. To help try to keep businesses afloat, the Ventura City Council came up with the idea of Main Street Moves. This essentially shut down a six-block area of downtown Ventura to vehicle traffic. It only allowed pedestrians and bicyclists to traverse the streets in between businesses. This allowed local businesses to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions while still accommodating their clientele by moving part of it out onto the sidewalks and street. Originally, the Council set it up as a temporary "fix". But, it became so popular and successful that they decided to continue it on through to January 2022. Please support our small businesses by shopping and dining locally whenever possible.
