NAR Health Insurance or Fraudster
Have you answered a call and a caller says they are calling to discuss NAR Health Insurance? The NAR says these calls do not originate from them. The NAR is not going to call you directly to enroll you in a health insurance plan and they are never going to give your personal information to anyone.
If agents are interested in insurance products they can find them through the Realtor benefits program.
We all need to be more vigilant to protect our identities. Never provide your information to anyone unless you are absolutely sure they are who they say they are. Four years ago a friend of mine applied to refinance a property she owned. The loan company had her fill out their application online, nothing new there. They had her social security number, name, address, and much more. It turned out to be a well-crafted scam. The lender claimed to be a victim of a data breach and her information had been accessed by another party. We all need to be very careful who we give our personal information to, especially when the request comes from a phone or as a text from a number we are not familiar with.
With the onset of Covid-19, it seems to have given license to criminal minds to flourish and come up with new ways to defraud people. Always verify who you are giving your information to and take great care.
