🙋‍♂️How to Stock a Vacation Rental Kitchen

Hi Brian... what a clever idea for a post. And useful information, too!

Hello Brian - I imagine such a list would be quite helpful for those with a kitchen as part of their vacation package.  The consideration of quantity of any one item must likely enter the checklist process.  Too much versus too little requires a bit more than a simple expertise in juggling.

Great idea for a post.  We always bring a wine opener, and press coffee pot.  And yes, lots of wine...so no one whines!  LOL A

That is a great list, Brian.  We put our kitchen at the rental together by trial and error, but you did benefit from that period of experimentation. I think I am going to print up that list, though. Thank you!

Brian England - the article was very informative. A well stocked kitchen for a vacation house is a good way to get repeat business. A friend of mine in Maine had cottages for her Lake Houses and after we got done at work, I often went with her to check on the cottages after the people left. Something I noticed that helped her to remember what she had and was a very helpful checklist after guests left, was instructions she posted  and left hanging on the kitchen wall. She was very specific about where items could be found and how she wanted the place left when people were gone. For example, she asked them to put all the towels and bedding sheets on the floor and basically left a very friendly list of instructions with a thank you to her guests. She did that for 40 years and always had good people come back year after year, including their children after they grew up.
