Spring has turned into summer, 2008 is half over and it is time to

look at the Grand Rapids homes sold in our area. This report is by

school district and shows the Grand Rapids homes sold, median

Grand Rapids home price and the highest home price sold in

Grand Rapids school districts this year to date, June 23, 2008.

Grand Rapids leads the home sales volume with 1458 homes out

of 4542 total, almost a third of the sales for our area so far this year.

Kentwood places second with 402 and Forest Hills third with 344.

Kent City has the smallest number sold at 46 as it is a small community.

The townships that have seen the most sales growth this year are Sparta,

Gaines, Ada, Tyrone and Bowen.

The corporate city of Grand Rapids SE, NW and the City of Wyoming have

also seen sales growth.

The highest Median Price homes are Forest Hills with $ 245,000 while the

lowest priced median homes are in Godfrey-Lee at $44,900.

The highest Grand Rapids home price goes to Hudsonville at $1,999,999,

pretty darn close to $2 million.

There are Grand Rapids homes for all price ranges, as you can see, with

8 areas having median price homes below $100,000. All Grand Rapids

home prices are still low compared to 3-4 years ago.
