Pawleys Retreat has 3 entrances: 1 from Waverly Road and 2 entrances from Kings River Road.

The neighborhood is walking distance to two local schools:
Waccamaw Elementary School is located on Waverly Road right across from the entrance into Pawleys Retreat.  Waccamaw High School is on the other side of the neighborhood.  Check out the award winning schools when visiting the area.   The high school in addition to its fine athletic program just received the State's highest award:  PALMETTO'S FINEST.

The neighborhood has 2 lakes, a picnic area, and private gated and locked boat storage for its owners.  The Pawleys Island beaches are a 5 minute drive away.

Visit Pawleys Retreat whether young or old.  There are young families, empty nesters, and retirees.  Community events are planned throughout the year and include cook-outs and huge yard sales.

The Pawleys Retreat community has approximately 245 Homes and 36 cluster homes (like small 1 story condos).  

I was a resident of Pawleys Retreat for 8 years when our family first moved to Pawleys Island in 1997.
