UNLV gets a shot at the NCAA basketball tournament. As this year's WAC champions they secured a bid to round 1. Ranked 25 and seeded number 7 in the Midwest bracket they will be playing Georgia Tech to open the tourney.

This weekend crowds filled the Thomas & Mack in Las Vegas for the WAC Tournament. UNLV started out rough in the championship game against BYU but came on strong in the second half to melt away an 11 point deficit. They won 78 - 70.

UNLV shoots well from behind the arc and have exhibited great defense. The Rebels have depth as they play 8 or 9 players. They have won 8 of their last 10 and with the win over BYU they are prime to have a great tourney start.
