What a fantastic experience yesterday when I had the honor and privilege of speaking with forty AR members about what it was like being on live radio.
Talking with this caliber of professionals, seeing their faces, addressing their comments and questions was a natural high for me.
Some people go on vacations, buy luxury items...but this is my passion and what I enjoy.
Speaking on the Tuesday Zoom was different than being on live radio. On Sundays, I am in the studio for an hour, but there are four breaks.
Sitting with headphones and a microphone, I'm the only one in the room. On the other side of the glass wall is my producer, who runs the technology, screens, and transfers my callers while keeping track of the station breaks.
And I talk, never knowing who is listening unless they call in or text me during the show. Sometimes there are multiple calls, and sometimes there are zero.
Preparation is a must if no one calls; otherwise, there would be a lot of silence.
And that can NOT happen when you are LIVE in the studio!
Yesterday was different; I was prepared to speak for the entire hour from my notes and talking points...but did not even refer to them. The conversation went past the scheduled time...for me, it flew by.
We had a lively conversation, and you all were the best audience! There was no shortage of participation, incorporating the use of podcasts and how to get started. The discussion was mainly about the radio show, but there was a lot more about the art of engaging buyers and sellers.
ALL ABOUT REAL ESTATE is the perfect way to highlight my properties, educate the public, and get real estate information to the listening audience.
The radio is not for everyone. But for me, it is perfect. Just like matching people with unique properties, I never tire of doing the Sunday program. It is the highlight of my week.
Thank you all for allowing me to do what I love...talk about Real Estate.
