On March 1, 2021, the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide construction spending higher 1.7% to $1,521.5 billion in January of 2021 from $1,496,5 billion December of 2020, and rose 5.8% from $1,437.7 billion in January of 2020.
Nationwide private construction gained 1.7% to $1,160.0 billion in January of 2021 from $1,140.9 billion in December of 2020.
Residential construction increased 2.5% of $713.0 billion in January of 2021 from $695.7 billion December of 2020.
Non residential construction up 0.4% to $447.0 billion in January of 2021 from $445.2 billion in December of 2020.
The public construction grew 1.7% to $361.5 billion in January of 2021 from $355.5 billion in December of 2020.
The educational construction down 0.1% to $89.9 billion in January of 2021 from $90.0 billion in December of 2020.
The highway construction jumped 5.8% to $107.8 billion in January of 2021 from $101.9 billion in December of 2020.
