We can market ourselves in just about everything we post.  It is an opportunity we did not have before in exactly the same way.

Getting mellow sitting on my deck, thinking about photos of gorgeous flowers from warmer climes members share ... thinking that true blessings are those that are there for everyone ... a blue sky ... a sparrow chirping ... the cool feel of grass beneath your feet ... even that squawking blue jay.

  Blue sky with Clouds

Wondering what we my husband will throw on the grill this evening ... remembering that I bookmarked a post on how to grill veggies, hoping they will not turn into burnt lumps this time.

Thinking ... posting a striking picture or a recipe ... it is marketing as well as sharing, and not any different in concept than mailing postcards of the same.  I am not into cooking, but when the moment hits, I Google a recipe ... who's to say I will not hit a real estate professional ... same with gardening ... or picking a vacation spot ... or any other reason one might have for searching the Web.

It all serves a purpose ... serious real estate issues, market reports, listings, real estate information, photos, poetry, music, art work, recipes, humor, borderline rambling ... people are out there searching for something or anything ... who says they are not potential customers.

We all market in our own way, and it is all findable by someone who may also need to buy or sell a home.  And you just might share an interest with a customer.

Market and let market ....

Marie...what a great "spin" on what everyone says about blogging! It's a way for people (i.e. potential clients" to learn who we are and what we are about.....Check out my post I did this evening about how Real Estate Changes Everything.

So, I guess a future post will be to share my awesome recipe for Cheesy Meatloaf....beats anything my Mom ever made, hands down!!!

Thom/Ray ... I read it.  Excellent! It does change your life, doesn't it.  I hope I can laugh too.  I lost my best friend Feb. '07.  So sorry to hear about your loss.  As for the cheesy meatloaf?  Why not!

Marie, There is something in real, heartfelt posts that strikes a nerve with someone and they want YOU.  I do believe (honestly) that energy can go anywhere and people absolutely know whether you're "posting for points" or really mean what you are saying....about anything.

Marketing can take on many forms.  I'm not generally a fan of the recipe thing.  But for some it does the job.  I write posts about my dogs....to each their own.
