The 52nd annual carnival begins tonight at St. Michael's Church on the Levittown Parkway in Tullytown. They have some new rides this year and also are having a petting zoo for the youngsters. It starts at 6pm every night. The fair helps to raise money for the church and help with the catholic school's tuition costs, though I don't know if a lot of people know that. I think most just look at is as a big community event that a lot of people look forward to. They were trying to get permission to shoot fireworks there as well (I believe after the fair was done) but Tullytown vetoed it.

Tickets are expensive at the actual fair but beer-o-rama next door, and mcgintys ice cream have books for ten bucks a piece I believe and the rides are between 3 and 5 tickets depending on the ride...funnel cake is also 5 dollars random I know but it's why fairs rock.
