Top Agents Work Floor Calls Well

By
Real Estate Agent with BCR Realtors 262359

I know lots of agents, once they have begun to see a little success in their business, feel they can do without floortime. Maybe some can. But one thing is certain that I have noticed through the years.  The best of the best, the top agents that I personally have talked to abpout this,  all tell me they still do some floortime.  If for no other reason to simply stay in practice.

I feel in today's  economy it will become increasingly necessary for agents to do some floortime as a routine part of their overall strategy for obtaining good leads. I know there are so many other things we should also be concentrating on...but floortime is just a part of the picture. Prospecting, networking, socializing, community involvement...are all just some of the many things we need to do.

But you know, floortime is really something we have control over if we know how to professionally work a  phone call or internet lead effectively.  Sure there are days no or few calls come in, but so what. That is no different than any other sales job.

So the next time you have an opportunity to take some floor duty..take it! And consciously make yourself really work the call.

Have a prosperous week!

I stopped floor time many years ago. Right now in our market there aren't any floor calls. Most of our agents have their own number on their signs and all the calls go to the listing agent. You have to generate your own leads.

I quit doing floor time years ago. I've considered starting again, but I really like generating my own leads. I'll never say never though.

I watched one of my agents put 15k in the bank today and asked her about the source of her client. It was a seller that called looking for a listing agent. She happened to be on floor  that day and says she gets mucho business from floor duty. She is a top agent in our market.

I love taking floor calls.  It gives me a chance to practice my skills.  I enjoy making the prospects relax and converting them.  I just closed a 250K house off a floor call.  I used to have seller floor calls but haven't seen anything upwards of about 150K listing price lately off the floor.
