I'm not buying that holder has bacteria because it's so close to the toilet.  People just don't now how to properly clean them

I have to agree with you on that point too.  A lot of people just really probably don't even think about cleaning them.

Well, that was a bit nauseating. I'm with Ed though. I think it has more to do with not ever cleaning the holder than where it is placed.

I agree, although my daughter-in-law was taught in nursing school to always shut the toilet lid before flushing to keep the particles from entering the air.  Still it makes me want to keep my toothbrush somewhere other than the bathroom.
