LIV2DAY - Connecting to Self

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Beam & Branch Realty TREC #547752

This might appear to be a strange topic on connecting to self. But truly, we really do put our own needs behind the needs of those around us. Those of us as parents can truly relate to this.

Caring for yourself is paramount! Just like in an airplane they tell you to put on your oxygen mask first and then tend to those around you. If you aren't caring for yourself, it will be difficult to then be able to care for others well.

Take a listen to this podcast on the topic of connecting to yourself. I believe you will take away some new thoughts regarding how you see and connect with yourself. You are important and you matter!

For more information and resources, visit Dr. Paula McDonald. I would love to hear from you too so make sure and reach out via the website.

Make sure and fully LIV2DAY!

Morning Paula.

Could not agree more, however with my training, that would be difficult if not downright impossible to do

Paula,  your messages on self-care are important.  It is so easy for people to lose focus on what they need to do to take care of self!

I know I tend to put others first at times at the expense of taking care of Kathleen.

I learned this the hard way. I didn't take good care of myself during my husband's long illness and I paid dearly.  Even though I am serving as a caregiver for another family member, I realize taking care of my health is my primary job.

Hi Paula:

Self-care is pretty darn important and I suspect some of us do not do as good as job at this as we could, or should. Certainly there are times I could improve.
