I had been searching with my buyers for quite some time. We were looking for an oceanfront condo. They live in Georgia but wanted a Space Coast home for a weekend getaway and winter escape.
They had certain requirements:
3 bedrooms, 2 baths, direct ocean views, not a first floor unit...but not too high in the building. I needed to be near shopping, medical facilities and quick access to I-95. This was not an easy find!
They were willing to do some work on the unit to keep the price within a reasonable range. If you know anything about the Florida market right now (and specifically the very hot Space Coast market), you know we do not have a lot of oceanfront (or any homes for that matter) available.
As I was searching for homes I noticed a condo that needed a full gut remodel. I sent it to them. They liked it, but the amount of work scared them a bit. I brought my contractor and cabinet person over to get estimates on how much work it would need. I was able to make the numbers work for them and we put in an offer. After some wrangling we arrived at an acceptable price.
We closed a couple of days ago and the permits got pulled yesterday! In about 3-4 months my buyers will have one of the most beautiful condos in Satellite Beach Florida!
