Health Your Health - Going, going, gone.

Note: This blog was written because of a discussion on another blog recently regarding cancer. I mentioned that cancer, along with many other diseases is reversable, and I also offered to write a blog in regards to this topic. It was requested that I do so, and here it is. My apologies in advance as this is not a short, quick read. The topic is very important, and I gave it a good effort to cover some important material. Take your time and review it carefully.

I must first make the following disclaimer...I am not a doctor. Nor am I a lawyer. I am not offering medical or legal advice. I am merely offering my opinion in regards to the research I have personally done, in regards to the many conversations I have had, and in regards to the things I have witnessed for myself, both first hand and second hand.

Pick up the newspaper every day and you will notice there is an obituary section. Sadly, death is a part of life. Even more sad is the fact that people die every day who did not have to die. Many die way before their time. The simple fact is, many of these people could have lived many more years. Instead, they spent the last years of their life in misery. It doesn't have to be that way, yet I hear people say time and again how it is expected that when we get old, we will have health problems.

A quick glance at the major diseases we see and hear about continually...
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Arthritis
  • __________ (you fill in the blank)
The list could keep going on and on and on. It's almost frightening. Now I'm going to tell you something that upsets me...the facts above are all avoidable. Why does this upset me so? I feel that we are being lied to. There is so much that I could write about in this blog, but I am going to do my best to make it brief (almost impossible), for otherwise I would probably write a book.

Look at the list of the major diseases I listed. Nobody wants them, yet they all seem to be out there waiting for us. Why is it we get these diseases, and why are they so prevelant? One sentence covers it all..."It all starts at the elbow." Maybe I should have said "sort of" in that sentence. It actually all starts in the mind, with a decision that has been made. The action that follows that decision starts at the elbow.

It is this decision making process that we should all be worried about though, and this is where the lie starts. You see, these diseases start because you move your elbow in such a way that allows your hand to move towards your mouth, and to insert something that is supposed to sustain and nourish you throughout the day...and therein starts the big lie.

Quickly...get up, run to your kitchen, and look at the ingredients on any package of food you can find in your pantry. Then look at a couple of other packages. Look a little bit more. What do you see? Let me tell you what you see...a list of ingredients in your "food" that you probably cannot pronounce, or even have a clue what they are. Chemicals and others stuff...who knows what these things are???

Now, go to the dictionary and look at the definition of food. I shouldn't give it to you, I should make you look it up for yourself, but you probably won't, so I'll go ahead and provide it for you.

Food: n.

n.
  1. Material, usually of plant or animal origin, that contains or consists of essential body nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals, and is ingested and assimilated by an organism to produce energy, stimulate growth, and maintain life.
  2. A specified kind of nourishment: breakfast food; plant food.
  3. Nourishment eaten in solid form: food and drink.
  4. Something that nourishes or sustains in a way suggestive of physical nourishment: food for thought; food for the soul.
"food." The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition. Houghton Mifflin Company, 2004. 22 Jun. 2008. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/food>.

Anybody see anything wrong yet? Let me make the picture a bit clearer if I may. Look again at #1 in the definition of food. Seldom in our packaged food do you find ingredients that match this definition. Today's food consist of materials that will sustain life, they will provide you the fuel you need to have enough energy to get through the day, although you may have to add in a huge dose or two of caffeine to make it through, or to get you started. Fuel is definitely needed, but we need so much more, and this is where we are lacking today and this is where our health problems start.

Another definition:

disease noun, verb, -eased, -eas·ing. –noun

  1. a disordered or incorrectly functioning organ, part, structure, or system of the body resulting from the effect of genetic or developmental errors, infection, poisons, nutritional deficiency or imbalance, toxicity, or unfavorable environmental factors; illness; sickness; ailment.
  2. any abnormal condition in a plant that interferes with its vital physiological processes, caused by pathogenic microorganisms, parasites, unfavorable environmental, genetic, or nutritional factors, etc.
  3. any abnormal condition in a plant that interferes with its vital physiological processes, caused by pathogenic microorganisms, parasites, unfavorable environmental, genetic, or nutritional factors, etc.
  4. decomposition of a material under special circumstances: tin disease.
    -verb (used with object)
  5. to affect with disease; make ill

At this point I want to make a huge link...

Food is for the purpose of providing us with fuel and nutrients that support and sustain life. Disease may result when nutrients are missing from our diet. Kevin Trudeau makes the claim in his book "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About" that the gov't and medical authorities have declared that "diseases can only be cured by drugs." Those that claim otherwise find themselves in hot water. Some doctors have even been stripped of their medical license. I know of one doctor who wrote a book about the subject of curing cancer, and they demanded she take the books off the shelf or lose her license because she was curing cancer without using drugs. She chose the latter of the two and now lives outside the USA.

Do drugs cure disease? I certainly think this is debatable, and I think it could be shown that this "law" that was passed is in fact nothing more than a lie. Look closely at the evidence. Drugs treat the symptoms of diseases. When our symptoms lesson, it appears the drug cured the problem. Treating the symptoms is not the same as treating the cause. Many times, the cause of the disease remains and the problem merely resurfaces.

Look at what causes the many diseases I mentioned earlier. I doubt that unless you have spent a great deal of time looking into this matter, you would not be able to provide an answer. The answer goes right back to the problem of the elbow decision. The problem starts with what we put into our mouth.

You see, we put all kinds of stuff into our bodies that do not meet the definition of food. We put all kinds of chemicals and other stuff (who knows what some of those things are?) into our bodies, and we expect our body to function properly. When we put these foreign substances into our body, our body will use what it can as fuel, but the rest is usually toxic to our system. Please go back to item 1 in the definition of disease...and notice that when an organ or some part of our body is not functioning properly, it is the result of a number of things, and in that list they include nutritional deficiency or imbalance, OR toxicity.

In my opinion
(yes, I have to say that in accordance to the disclaimer I started with), based on my studies and based on the comments of many other professionals in the industry, this is where our problems mostly exist. We suffer from nutritional deficiencies...and...we also have a problem with toxicity.

Our immune systems are quite capable of maintaining our bodies and fighting off disease, but only if we take care of it. Our immune system MUST be nourished for it to function properly, and we must keep toxins away from it, as toxins weaken it. When we don't do these things, disease is usually the result.

So, what do we feed ourselves? Look in the grocery stores, look in your pantry, and you will see that we DO NOT feed our immune systems nourishing foods, instead, we feed it a continual supply of toxins (chemicals) of which most of our packaged food is made of. When our immune system is weak, it cannot fight off disease. Eventually, we wind up with something (like cancer) that either threatens our life, or leaves us in a state of misery (like diabetes) until we either make the necessary changes that allow our immune system to work properly, or we eventually die from a disease.

I cannot tell you how many people I have seen live the last 5-10 years of their life in misery. I worked in a hospital for 5 years, and it is an eye-opening experience if you know what you are witnessing. I have had family members and friends that I have watched suffer for years before they died. Some (4 of them) are going through this process now.

You may ask why they are going through such terrible stuff if I am here telling you how these things can be reversed. Let me tell you why. As a society, we have been brainwashed by the constant barrage of media, and when you hear or see something repeatedly, you eventually come to believe it as the "whole truth." Therefore, we follow what we believe. And when what we believe turns out to be a lie...we all suffer for it.

Let me share with you the simple way to reverse problems...

First, you must realize what is happening. You must realize that what you put into your mouth (if you buy packaged foods with tons of ingredients you cannot pronounce) is not "food" by definition, but is merely just enough fuel to get you by, yet is also slightly toxic to your body, and that over time these toxins gradually build up in your bodies and after enough years, overload your immune system.

Once you realize these things, you must now make a decision to take action. For if you do not make such a decision, you have in reality decided to remain on course to the destiny you have been heading towards for awhile. If you know you are driving down a highway heading towards a bridge that is out, will you not stop and take an alternate route to get to where you want to go? Of course you will, but when it comes to health, people do not take the same approach.

If you ignore your health people, it will go away. It ALWAYS does. Why are we so careful about where we drive our vehicles, yet so passive about the paths we take our bodies and our health down every single day. A man will give up his health to attain riches, then he has to give up his riches in an attempt to regain his health. And...lots of people do not think about their health until it is gone. It may be too late then...it is for way too many.

Let's say you have made a decision to take action. Let's say you have decided that you don't want to be one of those people who live the last 5-10 years of your life in bad health. What can you do to help you avoid the path to misery? Realize first that there are no guarantees...period. There may be some factors that are beyond our control, such as genetics, or environmental problems, etc.

Next, realize that there are things you CAN do to help you increase your odds of living a very healthy life, one that is free of disease. We must now attempt to reverse the damage we may have done for the however many years we have been alive. We need to start by getting rid of all the toxins in the body. We must do a cleansing program of some type, and there are many out there. Getting the toxins out of our body serves to help our immune system, as these things weaken it. By removing this enemy, we are on the road to restoring our bodies to what they have the potential to be.

Once we have cleansed our bodies of toxins, we must now seek to nourish our immune system, and restore it to where it should be. This involves something that very few people will consider, and that is changing our diet/lifestyle. If we want our immune system to work properly, it needs the proper nourishment. Consider if you will the definition of food that I mentioned earlier. Notice if you will item #1 in that definition. Read it carefully please. Do so now. This is so very important. Our food must supply vital nutrients in order for out bodies to function properly.

If we clean out the toxins, and feed our immune system the proper nutrients, our immune system will keep us healthy. We don't usually have to worry about diseases such as those listed happening to us. And if we already have one or more of those diseases, if we take proper care of our body, our immune system will work to cure the disease providing it hasn't done too much damage.

Stage 4 cancer has been reversed. Patients with clogged arteries have refused bypass surgery and are now living normal lives after having adopted proper methods of care for their bodies. Diabetes has been reversed, arthritis has gone away, bones have been strengthened, etc.

I know someone who has Lupus. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with her sharing all that I have written here, I sent her an email that makes this lengthy blog look like a paragraph. We talked about the fact that doctors say Lupus is a genetic disease and that she has been told there is nothing she can do about it...but...we also talked about someone who has cured over 300 people of this so-called genetic disease. Actually, I shouldn't say she cured them. She merely taught them to cleanse out their bodies of all the toxic waste it contains, and to properly nourish themselves from that point on, and over a period of time, their strengthened immune systems cured/reversed their problems.

And...after going over all of these facts with this lady who has Lupus, she decided to maintain her current course of action, which had her in such a miserable state that living what you and I would call a normal life was/is impossible. Her pain was immense. Any activity that required her to exert some energy might put her in bed for a day or two because it would just exhaust her.

And there are people like her out there who have lots of health problems, yet because they have been brainwashed by all of the advertising and believe the medical establishment that drugs are the answer, they will not take any action to improve their health...instead, they choose to just live a miserable life and complain about it. How sad! I have an uncle dying of cancer, and he doesn't want to hear anything anyone has to say.
NOTE: (Since writing this blog, my uncle has died. He was feeling decent on a Friday...Sunday he was gone. He could still be alive today, of this I am certain. Don't let one of your relatives say something similar about you. When you finish reading this, you will find my contact information at the bottom...let's talk).

Ok, this was very long, and I apologize. The information is important, and I felt there were many points that needed to be made. I could have offered many testimonials of others who have reversed many diseases, but I have already written way too much.

In my comments on Mirela's blog a couple of days ago, I mentioned that there was a lady in Atlanta who is curing people of many diseases. Ok, she isn't curing them, she is teaching them the principles I have mentioned here, and the diseases are "going away," or as some would say, they have been cured. Let me offer her contact information:

Brenda Cobb

Phone: (404) 524-4488 or (800) 844-9876
Address: 1530 Dekalb Avenue, NE, Suite E
Atlanta, GA 30307

Read her personal story: http://livingfoodsinstitute.com/aboutus.htm

I met Brenda in Columbia, SC over 2 1/2 years ago. I attended two lectures she gave here that weekend. Prior to her coming ILiving Foods Institute had spent a few years researching lots of health issues, and my conversations with her along with her lectures changed my life. Since I changed a lot of the things she suggested, I haven't been sick. My daughter is 5, and we are raising her to live a healthy life, and although she has been in daycare, she very rarely gets sick. It is hard to get a child to eat healthy, and whenever she refuses to eat right, she will wind up with a minor problem. When she eats a good diet, we don't have any problems with her health.

If you have a serious health problem or concern, call Brenda. You can spend thousands and thousands of dollars and lots of health insurance money to take a lot of drugs that only add to the toxicity in your body, or you can clean out the mess and restore your health using Brenda's techniques. She is not the only person or organization teaching these techniques. Lifestyle Centers of America is teaching similar techniques while teaching people how to reverse diabetes. Hallelujah Acres (HAcres.com) is also teaching similar things. All are teaching people how to reverse disease and achieving great success..

If you are not having health problems, I would suggest looking closely at how you can prevent disease. Just because you are not showing any symptoms does not mean something is not wrong. Many people do not know they have cancer until it is too late. It is much better to prevent disease than trying to cure it. Having seen as much as I have (I worked in a hospital for 5 years) I have opted for preventative medicine.

There is so much that I have left out. I may have to consider writing a second blog. I'll see how much interest this blog gathers first. In looking back over the above, I see that I left out one very important thing...the one question everyone will be asking...What should I eat? Look at the definition of food again. There are four things that fit that definition the best...fruits, nuts, grains, and vegetables. Ouch, who wants a diet like that? A lot of people don't. It is too bland for the taste buds.

May I say that I now eat this diet. It was tough at first. We are used to a diet that just tantalizes our taste buds to no end. Once we stop eating our unhealthy diet, our taste buds adapt. One day you'll bite into something you always thought to be bland, and BAM...and exposion of taste erupts in your mouth. It is quite amazing actually. It happened to me, I was told it would. I put some corn into my mouth and it was awesome. Where had that taste been hiding? It was there all along, my body just didn't know it. Be patient people...it takes time. For me, it took several weeks once I got rid of all that packaged food.

Notice that I did not include meat in the list of foods to eat. There is a reason for that, and to discuss that now would be too much. Suffice it to say that during my research, I learned many things about the meat industry that lead me to believe it is a dangerous thing to eat meat. The reasons are many and a whole book was written on this subject. I feel this decision was forced upon me, as I love meat, more than most people...and having to make this decision to eliminate meat angers me greatly. But I feel that eating it is a way to guarantee health problems in my future. I will write more on this subject later.

Thank you for taking time to get this far. It's tough trying to write on this subject and keep it short. There is so much to say. There is so much I left out (hard to believe isn't it?). I hope this gives you something to think about. I hope this starts you off in a different direction when it comes to taking care of your body. These decisions are not easy, I know, I've been down this road. The benefits of a healthy diet are numerous. It is a decision everyone must make for themselves. Be careful making this decision. I do not know anyone who once they have lost their health are happy that they find themselves in that condition. The majority of people suddenly find that they regret their decision not to take better care of their bodies. What's even worse in my opinion, is that there are many who have no idea why their health is so bad. Don't let this happen to you.

Anyone wishing to discuss any of these issues with me, feel free to contact me either by email (SavingYourHome@gmail.com) or call me at 803-461-4210. I am in SC and take calls from 9am - 11pm EST when I am in the office. If I am not available by phone, please leave a message and the best time/s to return your call. IF...I get too many calls to return (I somehow doubt that will happen), but if I do, I will post a comment here to that effect.

Michael - There is something I forgot to include that I will mention now.  All of the reading I have done, both in books and while online, I found one book that I feel sums it all up quite nicely.  Online, you can find it at http:/hacres.com

On the left hand side is a link that says "God's Way To Ultimate Health."  Click that and it takes you to a book of the same title.  The cost is $18.95 & it is well worth it.  It will be the best $20 a person could spend.  I bought extras and just lending them out to people.

He tells you what foods you should definitely NEVER eat, and you will be surprised if you haven't researched this already, and he also covers so many more things as well as providing lots and lots of testimonies.  I've met people with awesome testimonies who follow these principles, so I don't doubt the testimonies in the book.

Notice the title of the book...the principles for taking care of our body are actually in the Bible.  If we but follow the Bible, our health will be fine.  Many people throw out the Bible rules for taking care of our body claiming those rules doen't exist anymore.  We will reap what we sow, and following the Biblical guidelines of health or ignoring them is the deciding factor as to whether or not we will have good health or bad health later in life.  For some people, later comes during their 40's.  I know of two people who are only 1 yr. and 3 yrs. older than me, who last year both had heart attacks.  I'm 46.  They lived, but don't care to hear these things.  Therefore, another heart attack awaits them soon.

After studying the Bible for almost 12 years, I think the health message is one of the greatest proofs of the truth of the Bible.  They had no way of knowing these things back then.  Heck, our doctors today don't even know or teach the health message of the Bible.  I blame that on greed though.  If money was not the bottom line issue, and truth was of the utmost importance, few people would have problems with disease.

As a former Critical Care Nurse for 20 years I can attest that Health is Wealth and cancer treatments cause more side effects than do good.

an ounce of prevention ( vegetarian & natural diets free from preservatives and processed sugars )

is worth all the Gold in the world - not just a pund of cure - where is the cure? I've been contributing to

rally for the cure for many years now....seems we should have found one

One insight I discovered while visiting a university hopsital in Poland in the early 1990's was that the same medicine they had per dose was $10 ten dollars per IV dose ( socialized medicine existed there )while the US Hospital cost of the same drug back home was

$ 100. one Hundred for the identical medication! ( now that was over a decade ago - imagine inflation)

Medicine is a big business here.

awesome post - I will check out the book.

I had been going to doctors over the last 3-4 years, but mostly over the last year and a half, about something that they started telling me was all in my head.  As it turns out, it was all in my stomach and intestines.

I found a doctor who has been teaching me to get rid of the toxins and to eat healthy.  I don't eat anything canned or processed.  I eat mostly fresh vegetables and fish.  I am now taking the proper supplements.  I am not dieting, nor am I counting calories, but I've lost over 40 lbs since February 2008 and I feel better than I've ever felt.

If only they told me 15 years ago, that I could have prevented certain diseases, simply by doing what I'm doing now ... but then I would not have had 87 doctors' visits and I would not have paid thousands of dollars in medication that only helped to make my stomach situation worse.

Sadly to say, last night I lost a fellow cancer patient.  He did not awaken this morning to the pain and discomfort of this terrible disease.  His battle was not a long one but I am sure it seemed that way to him.  I love reading all the post and opinions on Active Rain.  There are truly some wonderful people on here.  I have truly seen how rewarding it is when God takes in the direction of people like Mirela and some of the rest of you.  You inspire me to keep fighting to maintain my health and continue to be a "mountain climber".  We can't always be in life's valleys.  I'm glad to know this website is another shelter from the storm.  Thank you Mirela and all of you sooooooo much.

Did you know that besides make you gain weight, and being bad for tooth decay, that SUGAR can cause everything from bacterial infection to cancer?

It can increase your blood pressure  and risk for heart disease
it can can hormonal imbalances
it can cause damage to the pancrease
It can increase PMS symptons
it can weaken eyesight
it can increase cholesterol levels and create an acidic digestive tract (leads to severe illnesses)
it can interfere with the absorption of calcium adn magnesium and lead to copper and chromium dificiency
it can contribute to asthma, arthirities and alzheimer's disease
it can cause kidney stones
it can change the structure of your DNA
it can lead to premature aging by free radical damage and damages collagen

Why was sugar added to peanut butter?  Why was it added to canned vegetables? Why was it added to tomato paste? Why was it added to prepared dinners?  Why is it even added to salt?
It's not a required preservative. It's used to get you to eat more.

A bowl of canned tomato soup has eight teaspoons of sugar.
A small bottle of orange juice has 10 teaspoons of sugar.
Breakfast cereals have as much as 50 % sugar content.

Doctors recommed no more than 10 teaspoons of sugar per day (for adults), assuming you are healthy.

If you need a sugar fix, have a piece of fruit.  It will be hard initially, but you can do it.

Hi Jeff, Grace - They keep talking about finding a cure for cancer and every other disease out there.  They only want to cure with drugs.  The woman I mentioned, Brenda Cobb, she has cancer doctors sending her patients they can't cure, and she is reversing cancer in patients who have been given a death sentence by the medical industry.  Medical science will never tell people or teach doctors the techniques she is using because they cannot make money while doing so.  To teach the general public what she is teaching would be to cause the collapse of the medical industry.  They will only search for cures that deal with drugs and profit.  Their medical oath in my opinion isn't worth much.  As you said..."Medicine is big business."  It's all about the money.

Mirela, thanks for the kind words.  I look forward to your thoughts tonight!  As you can probably tell, this is matter close to my heart.  I've been wondering if there is a way to make a career out of saving lives the right way without having to spend a small fortune to do so.

Silvie - I'm glad to hear of your dietary changes, and sad to hear that you have had to go through what so many others have had to endure.  Sadly, many don't find out the truth that could save their lives BEFORE they die, or spend so many years suffering.

Like you, I changed my diet.  I lost 25 pounds very quickly.  I got off all the junk food and the contant hunger suddenly went away.  I got off all the caffeine and the highs & lows went away.  I cannot tell you what a relief it is to NOT be hungry ALL THE TIME, or to be up really high one hour and down really low the next.  My energy levels remain pretty much at a constant level throughout the day with a healthy diet.  I would have never thought I would like my new lifestyle but now that I am here, I love it and wouldn't go back for anything.

As for the drugs making your stomach worse and worse, that's what drugs do, something about "side-effects," ...I think that's how they explain it.  Drugs only deal with symptoms, cover them up, and give you "side-effects" which only means that you may need more drugs to deal with the problem the last set of drugs gave you.  I've heard many stories of how people get caught up in those cycles and never get out of them.  I agree with many others when they have speculated that this is the purposeful route of the drug industry.  I call it gov't sanctioned "legalized drugs," something they put a lot of people in jail for.  The legal drug trade, and the illegal drug trade are all about one thing...profit.  Those on the legal side of the equation just don't those on the illegal side, it cuts into their profits.  Just my opinion.

Hi Evelyn - I take it you are also a cancer patient.  I base that on your comment.  If I have assumed wrong, please correct my error.  However, if I am not in error, please call the phone number I listed for Brenda Cobb, and/or check out the book I mentioned.  Also, feel free to call me.  I own several businesses, and am sometime in and sometimes out of my office, but I return calls as quickly as I can.  So sorry to hear about the loss of your fellow cancer patient.  In my opinion, that is another life lost that probably could have been saved...pardon me, but I just get a bit angry about this whole thing.  So many are losing their lives when so many could be saved.

I know that there are times that there is nothing that can be done outside of God intervening.  But so often, lives are lost when they shouldn't be.  If it was a rare thing, maybe we could live with that, but it isn't rare.  It happens daily.  The biggest problem, who has the money to fight these drug companies and the medical establishments, and the gov't that supports them.  Just follow the money trail and the guilty can be found.  Yes, I am guilty of ranting and raving.  This whole mess just makes my blood boil.  All we can do is to tell people and hope they listen.  So many are so brainwashed they won't hear anything anyone  has to say.  I know, I have family that thinks I am off my rocker...and they are the one's who are about to lose their life while I am in good health.

Be of good spirit...there is hope!  If you just need to talk...give me a call!

Silvie - Loved your piece on sugar.  You asked some very good questions, to which you answered..."TO GET YOU TO EAT MORE."  I agree fully.  The food industry is no different than the cigaretter industry.  They want you hooked.  They add addictive substances to keep you coming back for more.  I know, I experimented with this.

Kevin Trudeau mentioned in his book that there are two ingredients in your food that allow the food industry to put up to 15,000 different chemical into your food without telling you what they are.  These ingredients are "natural flavors" and "spices."  Who would have thought.  I mentioned in a previous reply that when I quit eating junk food, my cravings went away.  All of that junk food had one or both of those ingredients in them.  Shortly after getting off all of that junk, I found myself one saturday eating everything in sight.  Nothing would satisfy me.  I ate all day long, continoulsy snacking until I was full...and then keep on eating until I couldn't eat anymore, and still ate more.  I was completely full, and I was starving.

I figured I must be experiencing a form of withdrawal.  I got out one snack box that I hadn't thrown out yet.  It was a granola snack bar, something that looked very healthy.  Yet it had one of those ingredients in it. Once I ate one of those bars, the cravings went away.  I should have eaten that first.  I threw that box away the next morning.  Once I got that stuff out of my system, I haven't had that problem since.

Thanks for the sugar facts.  Processed sugar is of no good to anyone but the pockets of the food industry.

Gregory,   Thank you for your post, I couldn't have said it better myself, hopefully people listen to you because my success rate is not good.  I have even had people give me back my business card when I suggested they call me anytime to talk about their cancer treatment.  I think most people are afraid- the doctors all sound so sure.  Everyone believes the lie, only people like  you do any research whatsoever about natural cures.  I have been to so many funerals - and I feel so bad at them, if only I could have persisted- maybe they still would be alive.  I am a 6 year cancer survivor, my doctor thinks he cured me with chemo and radiation- I told him he was giving chemo to a well person- he just laughed!  I am happy to share my story with anyone who will listen.  I look forward to talking with you someday!  Keep doing what you're doing!

Mary Jo - Hi Sweetheart!  The brainwashing is thorough.  I loaned a copy of one of the books I mentioned to someone who has diabetes.  She disagreed with 1 point made about half way through the book, then sent it back to me.  If her doctor doesn't say it is true, then it isn't true...that's her attitude.  Telling her that people are reversing their diabetes means nothing.

Part of the problem is this...when we fill our bodies with all of these things/chemicals called by the industry definition as "food," the toxic effect also touches the mental capabilities and fogs the mind.  Judgment is impaired and rational decisions aren't always possible.

I've got one story I'm going to have to type out and put here about how our diet effects our minds and behavior...it is mindblowing.  I may have it typed out already and if I do I will post it, otherwise, I will have to type it out...hmmm...better start looking.  I've got a lot to do tonight and tomorrow morning, so if it doesn't show up until later tomorrow, don't be surprised.

As for chemo-radiation, I have let my family know that under NO circumstance will I ever take either treatment.  One doctor refused this treatment herself and said "these treatments either kill the cancer first, or your immune system first...this is what determines if you survive the treatment."  Wow.  She said she didn't like those odds, refused the treatment and cured her own cancer.  She techniques like those I have mentioned.

Thanks for the encouragement...and never stop talking to others, you may reach one person, and that's all that matters.

wow dude! totally gutsy. good for you.

I'm in total agreement with you.

i've been dealing with lupus for 16 years. i do really well when i stick to the natural diet. then I get feeling better, get busy, start working again, and don't have time to fix proper food, get stressed out (life) and before you know it- sick with failing kidneys again.

last year i finally kicked my Diet Coke habit for good. i tell you it's like getting off heroin -what is it with that stuff?? I have rid myself of nearly all packaged food (none in the house but i do fall off the wagon on occasion at other people's houses) and am getting acupuncture. I was on 6 drugs. I'm down to 5, and taking smaller doses of 2 of those. With Chi gung, acupuncture, and even more attention to diet and I'm hoping to be rid of all the drugs within a year. And having energy- boy have I missed that.

Junk food is tasty-  but just not worth kidney failure and chronic pain.

Holy toledo, that's a long post! I've been fortunate in that I've always eaten rather healthful foods. We belong to a CSA, so we get fresh veggies every week from organic farms. Plus, we maintain membership and shop at a local co-op. Now, if I can just get my butt back on the elliptical that's gathering dust.

Hi Carla,  I hope you come back and read this, as I am also hoping that you will call me.  I would like to share a few things with you that would take me forever to write, and would probably be a longer post than the blog I just wrote.  What I can say in 10 mintues takes ages to write.

I just got off the phone with a young lady who called me and she is going through some crazy stuff with her diet.  I won't bore anyone with her private details, but there are some "mental" techniques that really work in certain areas where eating habits are concerned, and she is making all the wrong decisions even though she knows what to do and what not to do.  I'm going to work with her on how to make good decisions and how to stick to those decisions.  I've been through this and if I can do it, anyone can.

I was an extreme choco-holic.  I ate more chocolate than I did food, you would not believe it.  When I visited family, they would put out enough desert for me, and hide the rest so that they could have some.  LoL...I just learned this back at Christmas about what they did.  Yes, it was that bad.

I quit chocolate over 3 years ago, cold turkey, without any problems.  Stupid little mind tricks, that all it takes.  It is so simple it's almost funny...but based on your comments I can see you are struggling in this area.  My phone number is 803-461-4210.  I take calls from 9am - 11pm EST.  I'm not always here, so either leave a message, or call me back until you reach me.

There is a lot of information that I did not include in my blog...I couldn't, look how long that blog was.  It took me over 4 hours to put it together.  I will be doing more blogging on this subject in the weeks to come, and I will try to break things down into small segments.  Who knows, this could be a 5 part series, or a 30 part series, I'll just keep writing until I get to the point I feel I've covered the major points.  There is so much to know and learn in regards to this subject...and what is going on behind the scenes is quite scarey.

Anway...let me hush or I'll just keep going and going and going...I hope you call.  You can also email me at SavingYourHome@gmail.com  ~ Greg ~

Hi Elizabeth,  I've heard about these local groups.  Is there some national listing for these groups?  Do you know?  Organic food is getting so expensive and my budget can't handle it much longer.  I've heard these groups are much less expensive so I need to find one.  If you can help, please let me know.

And...sorry about that lengthy post.  I left out so much...wow.  I may have to write a book.  I wanted to give some basic information and it just keep growing on me.  I'm sure a lot of people didn't read it all.  As I mentioned to Carla, I may start a series on this topic, and just keep writing short postings until I come to a stopping point.

In a reply to Mary Jo, I mentioned that I had a story I wanted to put on here that helps to explain how our diet affects our mind, and our behavior.  I realized that copywrite issues prevent me from posting that story, however, I found it on the web, and here is the link:

http:www.rense.com/general76/raw.htm

This is called "The Great American Rat Experiment."  Some rats were fed the diet we live on, and others were fed the diet we should eat.  Look very closely at what happens to those rats who eat what we do.  Their health, and their behavior mimics our society in every way.  Please notice this...then please compare that to what happens to those rats who eat the diet we should be eating...AMAZING!

Hi Deb - Seriously, I have to ask, do you REALLY want to gain control?  Many say they do, but few REALLY do.  If you do...then let's talk, I'll be glad to help get you moving in the right direction.

As for cigarettes...ouch...one of the worst toxins that can be put into your body.  A very tough habit to overcome, but not impossible.  There is a key to overcoming that, or any other habit.  You have to WANT to make a change.  It all starts in your mind, it all starts with a decision.  Most people fail because they never make a decision.  They want to do something, they take action towards the plan, but they NEVER make a decision.  Call me, I'll explain in detail what I mean.  A book could be written on that topic too!  Probably already has!  ~ Greg ~

Hi Michael - Don't feel too bad, it's not our fault...really!

The FDA is supposed to be on our side, protecting our interests.  Sadly, they are in the pockets of big industry.  A couple of retired guys from the FDA have admitted so.  But it's not hard to figure out if one but only looks closely.  For instance, just look at the ingredients in our foods.  What the heck are we eating?  It certainly isn't food.  Look at what goes on in the drug industry...amazing.  Some of the drug commercials just blow me away.  They put their little ad on TV, then just casually list side effects that are out of this world, such as "could cause stroke, heart attack, blah, blah, blah, even death," and I find myself listening at the tone of voice they use which somehow lessens the effect and just sort of brushes it on by, and then it comes out of my mouth..."WHERE THE HECK IS THE FDA?"

The FDA is not our protector or our friend, they have committed treason in my opinion, they are the enemy when it comes to our health.  Besides, their budget is supported by these big companies.  The whole thing is a joke.  I'm really a nobody in researching these things, yet I have found so much information over the last 5 years without even hardly trying.  The problem is...no one is really looking.

Just heard something on the radio this past week, and it came from a doctor on a health related program.  Concerning the American Heart Association and their suggested diet...

Of those following their suggestions:
6% were doing better.
15% were unchanged.
79% were worse.

Ok, that instills a great deal of confidence.

Cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. can be reversed, but they won't be telling us that bit of news, and now this.

Hi Greg, I'm new to AR and just came across your post.  Thanks for caring enough to write it.  Do you know if Brenda Cobb has had luck with MS (one of my sisters has) or Esophogaus problems (my brother has had surgery for this).

By the way...I'm a believer in colin cleanse (i used dr natura).  After living overseas four years thought it would be a good idea.  It was great.  But my daughter who is 27 used it and this girl who has NEVER had fingernails before...I mean NEVER...they were always thin and she put fake ones on for years etc.  several months after she did the cleanse she has gorgeous fingernails...they are so pretty they look fake.  We have to believe that it was all of the gunk in her colin keeping her from getting the nutritions she needs.  The best part is that it made her aware of the fact that what you eat ACTUALLY can make a differnce.  Granted she is still not eating everything she should (nor am I to be toally honest), but it's night and day to what she and I were doing.

So I'm glad to see health advocates like yourself keep chipping away at the blocks we all have on our shoulders regarding this issue.

I will check out the book as well..  did you have health issues and come to discover this and become an advocate...just curious

Hi Celeste - Hello and welcome to AR!  This place it totally great!!!  In regards to your question, I haven't talked to Brenda about those two problems.  Feel free to visit her website....you can call her or write.  It's not easy to reach her by phone as she is quite busy.  I've had the best luck on Mondays between 9 and 10 am EST.

Your comments about colon cleansings...I've heard many similar stories in the past.  The gunk on our linings do keep a lot from being absorbed.  If we eat properly, and have our colon cleansed, our food intake tends to go down as we now get needed nutrients which give us that boost of energy we are supposed to get from our food.  Those who have clogged colons tend to stay hungry a lot too, especially if they eat mostly junk food.  Few people will do this, but it is best to eat as many vegetable as you can in the raw form.  This provides the most nutrients and provides the best energy.

As for my health...I've been very, very healthy my entire life.  In my youth, we lived off the garden, and that gave me an a jumpstart to good health in my opinion.  We have a Christian Radio Station where I live that has lots of health programs on it (for anyone local to Columbia, SC, that is station is 890 on the AM dial).  They had a weekly presentation regarding diabetes, and I learned that I was doing all the things that lead to this problem.  Since I lost my grandparents (my fathers parents) to diabetes when I was young, this caused me great concern.  I listened week after week, and learned a lot about what I was doing wrong, and what I could do to reverse my situation.  This started me off on the path of research, and led me to the health food stores and asking questions of anyone I could find who at least pretended to know something, which of course led me down many differing roads towards those who are doing things to help people regain their health, and from them I have learned much.

I also worked in a hospital for 5 years during my 20's.  What a learning experience that was, and I didn't even know it until I started down this road to good health.  That was a good foundation for I now can look back and see so much of what is wrong with the medical industry, and what I see concerns me greatly.  Where is the FDA?  Oh, that's right, many of the readers out there many not know this, but the FDA is in the pockets fo the food and drug companies they are supposed to regulate, and this has been admitted by retired directors of that powerful organization.  If I disappear from this site forever, it means they came and got me...unless a drunk driver beats them to it.  Don't forget that you it hear.

I'm glad that you are going to read that book I suggested...it has some awesome information in it.  I think this is the best book around, not saying that I have read them all, but I have read a bunch, and looked at many that I didn't purchase, and this is just so full of stuff we need to know.  Let me know when you get it.  I would love to talk with you before  you start reading if that is possible.  And if you want to talk, but have to pay for long distance...let me know, and I will make the call.  I pay $25/month for phone service and get to call long distance for free, and to many places around the world for free, so I'll be glad to make the call.  By the way...this phone service has a video phone for those who don't get to see their family because of distance and/or high gas prices.  Contact me for details, I'll be happy to give you details.

I'll order the book today and let you know when i get it.  My brother (the one with the esophical problems...and balance problems...) has not listened to me regarding more 'natural' approaches to dealing with his health.  He goes straight to drugs and surgery.  However he is very into the bible, teaches a bible group etc, perhaps this books approach to healing with a bible based philosophy will connect with him in a way books like Trudeaus don't.  I think Kevin is just a bit too negative and anti establishment for him.  As a past vet maybe he can't go from one extreme (following all rules and authority figures) to the other, trusting none and ignoring them.

I was hoping he could take what 'feels' right or resonates and forget the rest, but instead he discounted all.  The book "God's way to ultimate health" may be the approach best suited for him.  I guess it's like finding the right fit for anything.  we are all different and react differently to things.

thanks for caring and trying to get the word out.

Celeste - As you mentioned about your brother, it is difficult to talk to people about this subject.  People truly believe our gov't is there to protect and to serve, but I've learned that Kevin Trudeau is right, the FDA is IN the pockets of the Food & Drug Companies.  I've seen admissions from past directors of the FDA regarding this matter.  How sad.

When I went home to Va. for my uncle's funeral, I was talking to some of my family about these issues and how cancer and other diseases are something we can avoid and reverse, and the eyes just roll.  America has been brainwashed.  Once we see the same things over and over and over, even though the facts may be false and misleading, we accept them as truth because the info comes from a source we are supposed to be able to trust.  When & if Americans actually ever learn the truth, there will be a steep price to pay for this whole country.  I have zero trust in our gov't since I've learned that the things I thought to be true are not.  Kevin was so on the money when he said "it is all about the money."  And so many people think he is a total idiot.  Just wait until they learn they are the real idiots for not at least giving any type of consideration that he may be telling them something that they should look into for themselves.

Let me know how things go with your brother.  If we need to put a Bible Study together that goes more in depth in regards to what the Bible says about health issues, then I will work on it.  I probably should do that anyway.  One of the biggest problems these days is the belief that "all laws" were nailed to the cross, and many people that I talk to about health issues say that we can eat anything we want because those health laws were done away with.  The death of Jesus on a cross in no way changes the fact that some things just aren't good for us to eat and cause us harm in the end.  Some of the verses that are used to support the NT belief of eating what we want are not thoroughly studied out.  Surface appearance is readily accepted because they are not reading the verse in context of the chapter, and are only paying attention to what they want to verse to say when it stands alone.  It is so easy to interpret the Bible any way we want if we just look only a couple of verses.  We can make the Bible say anything we want if we study in this manner.

Thanks, I forgot to order the book yesterday, i need to get on that.  I know what you mean about the eyes rolling.  I think people don't want to hear certain things when it makes them uncomfortable with what they are doing in life...at some level it is threatening their status quo.

I don't think I'd get him in a study group on it, at least not now.  But I know he has really been studying the bible (like really studying it) in recent years and this approach to healthy eating just might connect with him in a way I haven't been able to.

all this being said, I am definitely not on the totally eating healthy path...so don't want to pretend I am.  But I used to eat fast food...several times a week, a drink a diet vanilla coke at least once a day, never ate veggies and minimal fresh fruit etc.  TODAY I can't remember the last time I drank any soda, diet or otherwise, I rarely eat at fast food, I'm loving grilled asparagus, yellow peppers etc in the oven with my salmon (that's a new discovery)...so I AM moving in the right direction, albeit slowly.

So blogs like this will keep me on track...and i think that's the best thing, to be reminded periodically of what we should be doing so we don't get so far off track that it's hard to get back on.

thanks.

Awesome post, and do not worry about the length, as the subject is important.  As a youth I was always healthy, until I went into the Army, I am a diabetic as a result of exposure to AGENT ORANGE, a chemical used to defoliate trees.  I also have some peripheral nerve damage that cause pain.  To keep this short, I will only say for years, I did not take care of my self, after a car accident that only added to my discomfort, with arthritis, and increased nerve damage.  I ate whatever, was on tons of medicines, developed, irritable bowel, acid reflux etc, I was constantly seeing doctors, like a revolving door,  Then something personal happened in my life and forced me to take a good hard look, bottom line I felt that the medical profession, self perpetuates, keep you coming, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, I was overweight, bloated, swollen eyes the works,  I put myself on a diet, (fortunately I like veggies) forced my self to exercise, walking and swimming, painful as it was, lost 55 pounds, no longer have acid reflux, no irritable bowel, increased stamina, and off most medications, I take one pill 2x aday for my diabetes, as I control it with diet.  This has been less than a year, and I have not had a cold or illness since, compared to getting pneumonia at least once a year.  I talked long enough, I still have a ways to go, I need to find a way to control inflamation  to alleviate pain.

One other comment, when I was out of commision from the car accident for more than a year, coupled with the above, it seems the more I dwelled on the negative aspect of my life, the illness and disability, the worse I became, Its was as if it became a much greater part of my reality.  Now my attitude is upbeat and I enjoy waking up each morning.......theres a great deal of living to do.....thanks again.

Paul, thanks for sharing.  I need to start exercising again as I know when I do I tend to eat better and get a better overall feeling.  But I dislike most any exercise I've done so for very little reason I won't do it and then I get out of the habit again and like now, it's been a few months since I exercised.

This post reminds me I need to get back into it.  So thanks everyone

Paul - Thanks for your comments!  Your testimony is just one example of what we see in the medical industry, which just feeds off of itself.  Drugs cause side effects, then we more drugs to deal with what the previous drugs caused, and then...   The circle never ends unless people do what you did, and take their health into their own hands.  Have you researched cleansing yet Paul?  Removing all of the toxic junk stored in our cells makes a huge difference, as that junk keeps our immune system from functioning to the best of its ability.  Give me a call if you get back here to read this.

Hey gregory...what kind of cleanse do you recommend?  Just wondering with the research you've done what you have found.

3:12pm • #39
1 Featured Post

Hi Kyle - There are so many different types out there, and so many making differing suggestions, it's been tough.  I tried a couple but couldn't tell much.  General cleanses seem to get the loose stuff, but leave the black tar buildup.

One problem with cleanses, you are losening up stuff that is enbedded in your colon walls, and as it works its way out, some of it is reabsorbed, and can make you feel a bit sick.  Some people have cleanses that work very fast, and these can leave you feeling sick for a couple of days to as long as a week, and some can make you feel like you have the flu.  Ouch.

For many people, the gunk on the colon wall can be a tar like, or tire like substance.  If you do one of those fast cleanses that takes everything off the wall quickly, you can actually break some of this off into chuncks, which can obstruct your colon.  These fast bother me for the above two reasons.

I think a slower method is preferable, as I dont' want to feel sick and I don't want obstructions either.  There is one method that I am about to research here soon.  I received the papework, but there have a been a lot of corporate changes recently and I've been a bit busy with that, and our 5 yr. old is really causing us to pull our hair out right now, as she only wants to eat junk food because of school starting and all the other kids eating junk, and boy that has been a huge problem, so I haven't focused on the info I got in about that cleanse yet.

The book I got the info sent to me from is "The Colon Health Handbook" but Robert Gray.  This looks pretty good to me based on all that I have been reading.  I want to try this.

Another person (professional) suggests enema's.   I can see the benefits of doing this, but this is one of those things in life that I have never wanted to do.  Very little in life bothers me...I worked in a hospital for 5 years and have seen almost anything you could imagine, but this one thing...I really don't want to travel down that road for some reason.  I just have this "exit only" theory going in my mind I can't get away from.  Sorry if I just grossed anyone out.

I hope this helps some.  I am looking for solutions too.  Cleanses can cost a nice little penny, and I lost a huge account not too long ago that I really depended on with one of my busnesses, so haven't been spending money on extras right now.  Just trying to keep food on the table...LoL!

Let us know if you figure anything out in the book you mentioned, the colon health cleanse.  Last year several in my family tried Dr.Natura with great success.  Not sure how it compares with other cleanses but I found it mild and many of their testimonies really were true.

Robert - Thanks for the compliment!  As for a feature...that would be nice, but doubtful.  The more people I can reach with this information the better.  It is so sad though that many people just don't want to know these things.  They figure that if they just ignore this kind of stuff, everything will be ok.  Then one day, disease strikes and they are wondering "why me?"  There are many who while at that point still don't want to hear anything other than "here is the magic pill, so now you don't have to do anything."  Too bad it doesn't work that way.

Kyle - I'll have to do a search on Dr. Natura (unless you have a link to share).  I may have read something already about him, but just can't remember.  I read so much it's hard to keep up with everything.  Whatever I use, I want to be able to get that black tar like substance out.  There are many cleanses that say they clean you out, but they don't get the black tar.

I've heard that when people do a thorough cleanse, they lose 15-30 pounds because of all the waste that is stuck to the colon wall, and this is the cause of those last 10 pounds and that small pertruding belly that people can't seem to lose.  A really good cleanse removes all of that gunk and drops the weight when all of that excess is gone.

I appreciate your thoughtful comment on my post about breast cancer awareness. I am happy to have many perspectives and do not believe that there is any singular way to alleviate the issue. Raising awarness does not simply mean increasing traditional medical treatment but is meant to empower people to take control of their own healthcare. I do believe that this is part of your message as well. I applaud all efforts at addressing everything from cancer to obesity.

I am not sure if you are familiar with my blog but I have been a vegetarian for 10+ years (really closer to 15) and I am an avid organic gardner. I am able to grow much of the veggies I use for the year. I am generally a healthy person. I do worry about the effect (or side effects) of many modern medicines. I disagree with what I perceive to be a complete disregard for any health benefits of modern medicine. There can be a balance between nature and science. The use holistic/osteopathic medicine and what nature provides is important. As thinking and reasoning people, the use of scientific advances is important too. I deplore the disconnect of many people from the actual food source and believe that it is a sad commentary when young people honestly believe food comes from the grocery and naturally occurs in a box or can. I think that the balance of the natural and science is as important as any balance and that to disregard either is at one's own peril.

I see we agree in many areas.  I definitely believe in empowering people to take control of their own heath.  I am sure many will disagree with me, but I have come to firmly believe that the medical industry can be very dangerous to our health.  Time after time after time I see medical practices that are appalling.  For the most part modern medicine is not concerned so much with treating the cause of disease, but instead only wants to offer drugs to treat symptoms.  They constantly ask us for money to help seek cures, yet all they are really looking for is more drugs that will simply treat the symptoms.

Drugs will not be the cure of disease.  When we properly take care of our immune system, it can handle almost anything thrown at it.  Our immune system is designed to attack that which dangers us, yet we have a food industry (if we can really call it food) that feeds us chemicals and junk, and a drug industry which legally gives us substances which add more to the toxic load on our system, many times causing side effects needing more drugs.  I've heard of so many people getting caught up in that circle of going from one problem to another to another and another, and then going from one drug to another to another and another...it is a never ending cycle which feeds upon itself, and is in my opinion designed to do so.  The great protector of the American people, the FDA, does not protect us, it protects the profits of these industries, and there have been a couple of retired FDA directors who have admitted to this fact...how sad.

There is one simply solution to taking care of our health...get the toxins out of our body, then learn the proper way to feed our bodies which nourishes our immune system, which in turn keeps us free from disease in almost all cases.  Granted, there are some things that go beyond the norm, and genetics and environmental issues cause many problems.  But we can do so much more than we are being told.  Rather than being told how to take proper care of our bodies, we are being fed things that are not food by definition and these overload our immune system...sending us down that road towards the "much needed" drugs.  What a joke.  Bottom line....it's all about the money.  The solution is simple, but we will never ever hear about this solution from the FDA, or the food or medical industry.  Their profits depend on the present conditions to continue.

Does science and modern medicine have some benefits?  Sure.  That is obvious.  Only the blind could deny that.  Yet the problem exists that these industries cause the problems we have, then attempt to reverse the problems.  If I were a mechanic and went around telling you that  you should put a spoonful of sugar in your tank every time you filled your car with gas, I would be guaranteeing myself work for years to come, and if everyone trusted me, I could carry on this lie for years.  This is exactly what these industries are doing to us...and very few are the least bit wise to the deception.  The trust level is so high that telling people what is going on merely causes a rolling of the eyes.  The truth is unacceptable as it disagrees with the perceived truth we so readily accept...and people are needlessly dying every day.  I've lost 3 family members to this system in the last 15 months, and all of them could be alive today if not for this system.  There are many more who have lost their lives when they too should be alive today.  I hope I can reach a few people who want to know that this great deception exists today.

Hi Kathy - Diets...ouch.  A sure fire way to gain weight.  I'm not on a diet, but I did cut my food intact when budget problems hit.  Then I gained 10 pounds.  When you cut food intake the body starts to store fat thinking something is wrong.  The metabolism slows down also.

Additives...if you eat processed food, you will eat additives.  Some people wonder how they can tell if they are eating processed food.....usually, if there is a list of ingredients and it is in a box or a package of some sort, you more than likely have your answer.  One simple check of the ingredients will tell you a lot...of course, you need to know what those ingredients are.  Here is one key...enriched flour means that they took out the good stuff because that stuff gummed up their machines.  What was left is what they used, and since there were no nutrients left, they had to add some chemicals to give the appearance of nutritional value, which is why they use the term "enriched."  That's a dead give-away, but few people know that.  Also...sugar and salt are heavily processed items.  High Fructose Corn Syrup...a definite no-no.  Go to Mercola.com and do a search for that ingredient, you'll be surprised.

Getting rid of toxic junk - you have to do a cleanse.  And there are many on the market.  Some work, some are scams, just like anything else out there.  One source says to start with enemas, that will get some junk out.  Everyone I've talked to who has used enemas to help with their cleansing has said they feel so much better after the process is over.  But that is just the beginning.  I have some info on a colon cleansing product I want to look at more closely, and will probably try soon, but having had a huge issue to deal with in my busness that has taken tons of time, along with a family crisis issue to deal with the past few weeks, I just haven't had time to look at it.  I did do one cleanse from the health food store some time ago, but I didn't see any benefits from it.  It's hard to tell with some of those products.

If you do a complete colon cleanse, and follow that up by cleansing the major organs and also getting the heavy metals out of your body, the load on the immune system is much lighter, diseases reverse themselves, allergies tend to go away (which may be your problems with food additives), gray hair tends to return to normal hair color, arthritis patients have said their arthritis cleared up...the list goes on and on and on.

Feel free to call me if you want to talk about this!   ~ Greg ~

Wondered what you found out in your research on cleanse...i was thinking of doing another one (it's been a year) i used dr natura last time and was happy with it but saw Dual ActionCleanse (I think is the name of it) and wondered if anyone tried that.  I definitely saw results last year, though i didn't follow up with other organ cleanses so if you have any info on that to share that would be great.

thanks and hope things have settled down in your life again.

Hi Kyle,

No, things have not settled down.  Actually, they have gotten much worse, but life takes those turns some days.  We had to pull our 5 year old out of school recently and I am having to home school her.  I don't have time for this, but I don't have any choice.  We are being penalized for protecting her health and they forced her home...it's a long story.

And...I've been getting lots of calls from Real Estate Professionals recently regarding how they can add our service to their business.  Since I take calls until late at night, I have been on the phone late at night answering questions from NJ to Fla. to Alaska.  With the market heading in such a bad direction, many may have to look for additional income streams to survive...and helping to save homes is one way they can stay in this industry.  I'm here to help if I can.  Unlike other companies, we don't have any fees to add this service to their business platform, which is a huge help for many.

As for my research, I haven't had time to do any in the past couple of weeks since my last post on the subject.  I hope to get around to it very soon, as I need this myself.  I've made huge diet changes but the best thing I can do is to get that colon cleaned out completely.

I happen to agree with a lot of what you said on how it's what we are intaking, but it does bring me to one question - what about cancer in children. Some are born with it and others have only grown up with organic food and they still have cancer. Are you saying that it's because of the food their mother took in while pregnant? I agree the older people get, the more damage they can do to their bodies, but children haven't learned that at a young age. I do believe that the cancer my daughter has in her brain wasn't food related, but enviromentally related and I do wonder if we will ever have the cure so many deperately need.

Anita - You are touching on a very sensitive issue, so legally, I am required to make sure you know & understand that I am not a doctor.  I have posted this in a number of places, but I still must be careful in this manner, as they love to go after people every chance they get.  My comment is based on my research, so please take this as my opinion based on the opinion of other professionals I have researched and/or talked with.

I talked with a woman who studies children who have cancer.  She gets samples of their cancer cells and looks to see what she can find.  To her shock, lots of these children have food pesticides in their cancer cells.  In organic food, this should not be found, but as has been noted, Wal-mart was caught selling regular produce in the organic section.  Reports indicate this happens more than we want to admit or know about.  And some people growing their own food may use certain pesticides thinking it is safe to do so...in other words, they think they are farming organically when in fact they are not.

Cancer can occur for many reasons.  I doubt a book could be written to cover this vast subject.  In my opinion, our bodies are capable of fighting off almost anything thrown at it, if we take proper care of the immune system.  In some cases, our parents, and or grandparents may not have taken good care of their bodies, and through their bad habits, certain genetic problems may have been passed down through the family tree.  I do believe that most problems we find in our bodies are the result of some type of toxic element being introduced into our body, or somewhere through our family tree.

And sadly, we also know that incest has occured in families, which can cause certain known and unknown problems as well.  Could this lead to cancer or other problems in future generations?  I cannot answer this accurately, as I am not studied in this area, but my opinion would be that anything that weakens us, could lead to future problems.

As for your comment on the environmental issues, we have definitely polluted our environment, it's hard to tell what may or may not cause problems.  If whatever caused the cancer is a result of something she has eaten or drank, or breathed, it may be possible to remove the toxin through a cleansing program, although I am not sure how that is handled with children according to age.  I would suggest calling Brenda Cobb, the woman from Atlanta I mentioned in my blog.  She may be able to help you in regards to this matter as she is reversing cancer in many, many people. Please talk to her about your daughter.  By the way, how old is your daughter?

Feel free to call me first if you would like, I would be happy to talk with you...

WOW, thank you very much for taking the time to write and share this information, it's definitely "food for thought" (no pun intended LOL), and you're absolutely right, it's stupid crazy the amount and/or kinds of JUNK that we put into our precious bodies :(

Getting proper rest is also CRUCIAL to helping our immune systems stay strong, instead of dumping a bunch of cold/flu meds into our bodies, I always recommend jumping into bed and getting some much-needed sleep!!!

I've said for years that if we were made of glass and could actually SEE inside and the damage we're doing, that we would take much better care of ourselves!

Thank you again...

You're Welcome Angela!

And wow, what a great blog idea...."how would you take care of your body if you were made of glass and could see the damage you're doing?"  I may have to consider this as a future topic...hmmm...

I haven't been spending enough time here...we're going something of a personal crisis on our end and its costing me all kinds of time.  I've hardly been able to work.  Nothing as serious as cancer, but still extremely important.  This may lead to another blog, as the issues could be something many need to know about, but lots of research needs to be done before writing about this topic.

Hi Kyle -  the home schooling is going much better for the moment.  It takes a bit to get into the flow of things but it is working ok for now.  It certainly has hit me hard as far as "time" is concerned.  We're hoping we can get her back in school in December.

Ray - Any input, or advice or recipes you have to share with others (especially me) will be more than appreciated.  Lifestyle changes are not easy.  I was once a junk food/fast food junkie.  There are times when I miss it as those things tantalize the taste buds, but when I am eating good, my body does not crave the junk.  When I get out of balance, those cravings sneak up on me.

When I crave sweets, it means I haven't had enough fruit.  Fruit keeps those cravings totally under control.  When I don't get enough vegetables, I find myself searching for food all the time, like I did when I was on the junk food diet.  When I eat right, everything is under control.  When I don't, I stay hungry constantly.

If you have anything to share with all of us Ray, we would love to hear it.  Others may like to hear why you would recommend it or why you like this compared to the diet you followed before switching.  Testimonies always help those who are on the fence.

I'd love to hear what you do as well Ray....I eat a LOT better than I used to...but still can't say I'm where I should be.  So love to hear people's experience with the diet switch.

thanks to all for sharing.

Kyle - I don't eat quite as well as I should either, but my problem is that organic foods are so very expenisve here...hmmm, maybe I should rephrase that....food is so very expensive here.

Tony - You're welcome!  I hope this was of help to you.

This is one of the most interesting posts on health I've ever read.  Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into it.  I agree with you completely.  I do my best to eat good healthy food, exercise and treat myself well.  I was just telling a co-worker that I've managed to stay healthy for two years while people close to me have suffered from colds and viruses.  It doesn't take much to stay healthy, it's a shame more people don't do a little bit of research before they start popping pills and putting junk into their bodies.  Don't even get me started on the government, they just make me want to get angry - and that's not good for you either!

Gregory - Wow!!! ... a very interesting post ... I share your thoughts and beliefs on the source of much of what ails us today ... But we also need to know that certain foods can aslo cause issues for some. Having three grandsons with allergies to certain foods (peanuts, nuts) that for one is life threatening I can really appreciate that it begins with us but unfortunately for some like my grandson it could begin simply by someone elses choice of foods.
