Special offer

Complimentary Home Staging 1st Prize!

By
Home Stager with California Moods Inc

I was just talking to an interior designer this morning about getting into the home staging business and you will meet her soon. Her name is Dannett West and as soon as she finishes her profile, I will welcome her so you all can introduce yourselves. She has been reading our posts for awhile and that is how she found me.

The point of this post is for marketing purposes. As we were talking, I mentioned visiting her local RE agencies and setting up appointments for one of their weekly meetings as we have talked about many times here in the rain. What came up was having a drawing for a full complimentary  staging. By having the agents put their name in a bowl, they not only will anticipate the gift but will also pay close attention to the presentation. The agent whose name is drawn will be able to choose any one of their existing listings or the next one they sign on. Envy will reign for the winner and it will be the talk of the office, before the staging and after. The agents will be watching closely to the results and the timely sale.

Bring a beautiful bowl and offer it as the 2nd place winning prize.

Food, prizes, complimentary staging from a professional...make sure there is a flier given to each agent announcing the upcoming meeting.

Stage it forward!

PS: If you are a broker or agent in an office who would be interested in a meeting presentation like this, call a local AR stager and set one up. Ask if they would be interested in offering a complimentary staging to get things going.

Hampton is LUCKY to have you there to beautify it. You have a lot of work to do so get with it!!! I like to think of my goal when someday, every home I enter will be organized and decorated no matter what the budget. Home Staging is a best and simplest way to get this accomplished. You never know, this could be the one service that will change the way the world lives and you are a pioneer. And I am not arguing...I am TELLING YOU. heehee

Sheron,

I have spoken with realtors at their meetings . . . had the drawing for a free staging consultation ( although I have never given the bowl to the second runner up - good idea ) and it truly has been one of my most successful forms of marketing!  What's that old saying . . . don't tell me . . . show me!  It really works.  Happy staging!

The drawing is a great idea, and you're right that the other agents will be closely watching the progress of the sale.

I used to belong to a networking group in San Juan Capistrano called Le Tip and decorating is the best career to have in these types of networks. Everyone loves it, even the men. We would meet every week for breakfast and a members business would be featured alternately. When it was my turn, I made sure I had the latest fabrics, colors, trends, and pictures of before and afters on the table...the table was always swamped and chatter abound. You can't over do the samples and the pictures, if you don't have many photo's of your own, you can show ugly wallpaper photos and cluttered rooms and share what you would do with real samples. They will all relate and have a great time.

Hey Sheron

I have done this as well as Val and I have to tell you that both times the realtors who won did not call to use me, while other agents in the office did. I don't get it. BUT IT IS A GREAT IDEA

thanks, Phyllis Pafumi

Sheron, I did this when I first started and just like Phyllis an agent in the office won but she never set up the appointment and I called her.  So, what I thought I would do is give a gift certificate to a few (4) Realtors that I know really well and give them the certificate to use for a client that needs the service.  The certificate will stage that it is good for 1 living area in the home or equivilant to 4 hrs. free staging services with an experation date.  What do you think, anyone?

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH too cute. Love the chair. Is that a Yorkie? I may be the proud parent of a Shih Tzu this weekend...holding my breath it doesn't work out...if it does I will have to wait until I get back from Seattle to pick him up. 3 dogs now...ugh. I will be posting my remodel pics from Seattle so keep on the lookout for them.

Great idea Sheron.  I'm getting ready to deliver candy baskets to realtors and in each on there will be one free staging consultation for the client of their choice.  Now how can they turn away from and offer like that?

Sheron, is that little dog yours?  What is he/her?  Yes, Barley is a Yorkie, he weighs about 5lbs. and thinks he's a Great Dane .  The cat is of course, Useless, uh, I mean Essence but she's pretty, Samantha named her.

Oh, back to the topic.  I made gift certificates for the 4 Realtors will deliver them Monday, no candy though.  Like with Terry, I am anxious to see what the results will be.

Sheron - great idea! Of course, the bigger the presentation the better - bigger means even more jealousy! Oh, and be sure to take many before and after photos. You will want to show all those that came to the presentation what you were able to accomplish.

And of course, be sure to get all their contact info in the fish bowl! You want to be able to continue marketing to them until you get them to bite.
