After a recent negative experience with a well known digital printing company, I decided to use my expertise as an internet researcher and seek a service provider that would meet my needs and most importantly, the needs of my clients. After a month of searching, I narrowed down the search to seven companies. Each company had to accountable and responsive to quality, delivery, customer service and the system must be user friendly.

I was in for a major awakening. For many of the companies, customer service and quality was at the bottom of the list. More emphasis was placed on quantity. I also reviewed samples and those that use the laminated services provided a less than adequate card because in most cases, the cards would have skid marks which defaced the image. Skid marks on post cards seem to be a growing trend. It’s not a result of the publisher, but it is an end result of outdated postal equipment used by the US Postal Services. Think laminated coating eliminated two companies. Quantity eliminated another two companies. Lack of customer service eliminated six.

At this point, I only had one company left, MyNeighborHoodAgent.com

Returning to my initial expectations, I reviewed my table of pros and cons. Then I was back on the phone testing their customer service. WOW! I was in for a big surprise. My contact was with Becky Ginn. She is the epitome of Exceptional Customer Service. The samples I ordered arrived in less than four days, she was willing to walk me through the entire process from setting up my client accounts to using each segment of the program to ensure my cards were uploaded and printed correctly. Because of a problem I was having with one card, she was willing to follow-through and make sure the order was completed and mailed.

In addition to customer service, I like the concept of being able to upload and store multiple address books and cards for future use. Now I don’t have to worry about the selection process or if the vendor will drop the ball.

When selecting a vendor, customer service is very important. If the vendor only knows how to tell you what they can’t do, you need to start searching for a “CAN DO” vendor that believes in customer service, quality, and delivery, A vendor that doesn’t care about its services will not care about its clients.
