Wishing a happy and blessed Passover to our Jewish friends, clients, and colleagues...
As you observe the first night of Passover this evening and as you gather around the Seder table, either in person or virtually, we wish you and those whom you hold dear all the joys of the Passover holiday and a wonderful celebration of the blessings of freedom, faith, and family.
Many of us will be celebrating Passover or Easter in a more muted manner once again this year. However, as we look forward to these two important holidays in the Jewish and Christian faiths, we still should take time to reflect on the truly important people and the blessings in our lives. For our families, the memories of our children and for our communities, we have a responsibility to make whichever holiday we celebrate as meaningful as possible.
Easter celebrates hope, renewal and new beginnings. Passover marks a special time in the Jewish calendar – commemorating the Israelites’ Exodus from Egypt – and honors Judaism’s traditions of freedom, faith and family. Hopefully both holidays this coming week will renew our faith, our relationships, and our commitment to our freedom of faith and those values we hold dear.
"The message of Passover remains as powerful as ever. Freedom is not won on the battlefield but in the classroom and the home. Teach your children the history of freedom if you want them never to lose it."
... Rabbi Shimon Raichik
"The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free."
... Maya Angelou
On Passover and always, may you and yours be blessed with the rich and bountiful gifts of love, as well as with happiness, prosperity, good health, and peace. May you be warmed by memories of the past, joy in the present, and hope for the future.
"Passover affirms the great truth that liberty is the inalienable right of every human being...!"
... Morris Joseph
