When you buy a resale home, you never know who all has keys to this home!    The neighbors, the kids, past dates, etc. you never can be too safe!

Here's a Good Reason To Change Your Locks When You Buy A New Home:

A Denver woman arrived home to find a strange man in her bed.

The woman called the Denver Police Department to report that a man with a shaved head was "passed out" in her bed, according to reports from the scene.

The woman reported arriving at her home and after unlocking her deadbolt lock and walking in, she found a pair of pants and shoes downstairs. She walked into her bedroom to find the man in her bed, clad in his underwear.

The young man lived in the home for years before and after becoming drunk went to the residence, unlocked the front door with 'his key', and passed out. Police arrested the man on suspicion of public intoxication and public nakedness. The homeowner stated that she had never changed the locks when she bought the home years prior.  Lesson...Change Your Locks When You Buy A New Home.

I have also heard of neighbors that had a key, and after the homeowners moved, used their key to access the home of the new buyers.   NO WAY, get your locks changed!

Good morning Roy,  good advice.  It amazes me how many do not attend to this detail even after being given counsel to do so.  Mark
