My day is riddled with multitasking.  Jumping from one contract, client, house to another.  I was talking with someone this weekend.  I said, "Allergy shots won't fit with my lifestyle."  She said, "Why?"  I said, "I cannot sit somewhere for 30 minutes and not do anything."  Another person looked at me and said, "It's only 30 minutes."  I quickly said, "A whole freaking 30 minutes! Do you know how much I can do in 30 whole minutes!"

In fact, since I started writing this blog I have negotiated repairs on a contract for a buyer, sent 5 emails, talked to a buyer-seller client twice, and another potential buyer client.

I never understand people who cannot multitask.  If I'm not multitasking, I'm braindead.  Multitasking is my drug.  It keeps me focused and sometimes utterly unfocused.  Oops, gotta go get another "fix".  On with the way of the REALTOR -- the way of the multitasker!

I used to think I was a great multitasker.  But I found I never felt complete with many things.  Now I try to focus on one thing at a time.  I do one thing well and then move on.  Setting priorities helps.  The low priority items that don't get done by the end of the day somehow seem to not matter anyway.

Yes, people like me with (undiagnosed) ADD seem to do well at multi-tasking.  It's amazing how quickly things get checked off your to-do list when you go for it full-steam!
