The reason real estate sales in mentioned here are because that is what I have done for 41 years. This truth could very well be about any type of sales. We should understand everyone wants to feel liked, loved, given attention to. Even the homeless person on the street corner. I say this just to get your attention and to: THINK!

Can you remember when a person called you by name in person, or on the telephone (maybe we should say cell phone) nowadays? Also, a handwritten note, when you receive one, you can remember it months later. Have you noticed that?

When your closed transactions are lower than someone else who you feel is equivalent to you. One of the key differences may very well be. That person has done more of the above than you have.

And remember talking to a person on the phone is far more powerful, and appreciated than an email or text.

Contacting everyone you know. And on a regular basis either monthly or weekly depending on the circumstances. I should know… a past client of 30 years called and left a message for me last month. I had completely forgotten her. I even asked her how did she find my number. She said she googled: The Pumpkin Man in Phoenix. She wanted to sell her current home.

Another example so you understand the power of this. Ten years ago, a member of the church recommended me to a young lady wanting to buy a home. After that easy sale, she has heard from me regularly for 10 years.  One of the ways I communicated was a send-out card nine to twelve times each year. Last week her dad, called me and said, his daughter highly recommended me to help him find a home.
