How Are Housing Prices in Danbury,CT in 2021

It is very much like the old-west out here in Danbury,CT. Year to date, closed prices are up 18% for single families in Danbury over the same time last year. (2020) Pricing for the townhomes have increased about 6% as well over the same time period. There's been a change of the number of properties sold in the time period as well, about 20% more condos where sold due to increased development at the Rivington Woodlands community and 6% fewer less single family homes.  

Across the board, inventory level is very low. It is pretty common to have multiple offers and some homes deposit in under two weeks time, even in the higher end. For sellers, you still need to partner with an exprienced real estate agent with a proven marketing plan, assistance with pricing, negotiating and follow up getting the house from accepted offer to closed.  For home buyers, keep in mind that you might have to pay listing price or higher to get the house that you want.  Each property is different and we will review activity to gauge a valuation-but it is always the clients choice on where they want to go.
Buyers should give themselves enough time to house hunt as you might possibly have to go through 3-4 offers written up to secure one.  Sellers should also generally plan to get away from their house for as much as possible over the first few days of listing so buyers can tour with their agent.

Jonathan even though interest rates have stayed low, house price are increasing rapidly.  If Buyers do not act quickly they will find themselves priced out of the type home they would like to purchase.
