So many times I have heard the old saying that I would rather be lucky that good. Well, I for one have always wondered why we can not have both.
If luck is truly what we make it, then it seems that we would push harder to make better "luck". With that said, people seem to only depend on being good or being lucky. As I saisd before, why can we not find a happy medium between both?
I hope that you find something inspirational in the post below. You can read some of my other post also by just clicking on the pictures and being transported to another world.
"Thorough preparation makes its own luck."
Joe Poyer
"While the attitude that luck is the primary difference between success and failure would be a good excuse to easily accept the defeatist position in life, it is one that is untrue. Many, many successful people met what appeared to be insurmountable challenges on their way to achieve success."
Byron Pulsifer, from The Smoothest Way Is Full of Challenges
"I've found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often."
Brian Tracy
"To support mother and father, to cherish wife and child and to have a simple livelihood; this is the good luck."
Buddha
"You don't just luck into things as much as you would like to think you do. You build step by step, whether it is friendships or opportunities."
Barbara Bush
"I think luck is the sense to recognize an opportunity and the ability to take advantage of it. The man who can smile at his breaks and grab hischances gets on."
Samuel Goldwyn
"I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."
Thomas Jefferson
"Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more you sweat, the luckier you get."
Ray Kroc

Danny,
Those are inspiring. One of my favorites is from "The Richest Man In Babylon" by George Clason.
"Good luck waits to come to that man who accepts opportunity."
Great post!
