Are designations important? I just finished the e-Pro program and thought is was helpful and I learned some great things. I think education on a continuing basis is necessary for professional growth..... but do designations actually help you in the field? Do our clients know or care about designations? What are you doing to benefit from your designations?
Can you have too many designations? I have seen some agents' business cards look like alphabet soup. How do you let customers know that you have achieved a level of knowledge, experience, or training that others may not have?
Can they show your dedication to learning, advancing your career, and bettering yourself?
If they are important, which ones are the best ones to have????
ABR ' Accredited Buyer Representative
ASR ' Accredited Seller Representative
GRI ' Graduate Realtor Institute
CRS ' Certified Residential Specialist
There are dozens of others, each representing a different niche or segment of the real estate business. Where do I go from my e-Pro?
I would love some feedback and sugestions from the AR community on what I should do next.

Just my personal opinion: the only "designation" that really means anything to the general public is Broker. The classes for the deisgnations can certainly be helpful, buit people don't know what those letters mean, and generally don't care.
