One of the things I really enjoy and brings back childhood memories for me is catching the fireflies that light up the night throughout Crossville TN. As a child I remember saving mayonnaise jars, poking several holes in the top and capturing "Tinkerbell". To a young child who believed in Cinderella,, Peter Pan and everything... the glow of the fireflies was an amazing site and as they illuminated my bedroom I would fall fast asleep. Today, my children and I sit on our front porch at night and watch the miracle of the fireflies flood us. Taking in the beauty and poking a few more holes ( memories ) in those mayonnaise jars.
