What is Paradise?
I read a bunch of recent AR posts, and agents often speak of living and selling in Paradise.
Some of these agents write about wonderful ski resorts. Some talk about lakes, mountains, rivers and streams. Some discuss the ocean and it's mesmerizing waves. I have read about dry climates and warm breezes. A beautiful snow packed valley or a quiet hammock strung between two leaning palm trees.
The interesting thing about Paradise is that it seems to be an invention inside our own heads. When I was a child I would always dream about living by the ocean with warm breezes (and having the ability to swim in a pool year round).
Some dream of long walks on snow covered peaks in August. Maybe a lake house with nobody around for miles sounds like Heaven to you...I do not want to ponder on this too long or Michael Jacobs will call me a copycat!
I found my little corner of Paradise here on the Florida Space Coast. Warm breezes, Pineapples and huge Lemons growing on my back patio and easy commutes to amazing and fun adventures (45 minutes from Daytona, an hour from Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, two hours from St. Augustine, under three hours from Miami, Tampa or Fort Lauderdale)...and, of course year round swimming!!
