The store is stocked with new (up to 90% off retail) and used home improvement products. They have beautiful cabinetry on display. Now located on the corner of Allegheny Ave and Lakeside Drive, you'd be surprised at the quality and quantity of items for sale:

Debbie, the one thing that I love about your post is that I know that I am going to learn something about your area. This is why I love coming back. I am sorry that I have not been as visible lately, but I am working to get there again. We have great news coming down the pipe.

Danny, this is an excellent example of the community helping the community. Many companies and contractors donate products and the public can buy them at a discount further helping Habitat for Humanity. It's a win-win for everyone. Thanks for commenting!

Our sincere thanks for your blog about the ReStore. As we begin our seventh year of operation, we look forward to helping Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity in their mission to provide home ownership opportunities to families in need by selling new and 'gently' used home improvement products to the General Public.

In addition to providing funds for new homes, Habitat ReStore promotes recycling and rescues approximately 800,000 pounds of solid waste annually! We hope to continue encouraging manufacturers, businesses and private citizens to 'think' before they throw items away.

Debbie - What a great Restore! We have one here in Medford Oregon, too, that recently underwent a restructuring. My husband and I are supporters of our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate and store, too. It's a great non-profit that we can really relate to with our industry experience.

Karen, we are so fortunate to have such a great store AND participation from local companies who support Habitat For Humanity. I can't wait to go over this week and see what goodies they have!

Debbie - that is the key to the good finds in the Habitat ReStores... cruising through periodically to see what wonderful things have been contributed. If your store is like the one here in Medford Oregon, sometimes you find antiques, fabulous ceramic/glass tiles, brand new windows and doors - you just never know what you'll find!

Karen, I'd love to see some antiques! I'm going by that way tomorrow, you've got me curious, so I'll have to stop in! Thanks for the heads up!

Debbie, We also have a Habitat ReStore in Hayden Lake, ID. My husband is a builder so we make lots of donations to it. Some brand new, some gently used. We also helped build one of the Habitat Houses. It was a great experience!

Awesome resource Debbie! I love the whole concept of Habitat - this stores, which I've never heard of before, looks terrific both for the consumer and for Habitat to raise funds!

We've got one here in the DFW area and I love to pop by and see all of the great deals!
