Game Stop

Michael, I remember a story on the news, but have never been to Game Stop, so probably went back to what I was doing.

I must admit, this is the first time I've heard of Game Stop. :) Now, I'll have to educate myself. Happy Sunday. 

I don't know much at all about Game Stop but I did see that the stock rose astronomically in a short period of time and that some trading platforms were doing weird stuff with regard to it, perhaps even illegal stuff.  I know my brother is mad at Game Stop right now because they won't allow him to return a brand new unwrapped game for full value.  Game Stop is not really a place I have ever supported so I don't pay too much attention to them.

I think you pretty much explored every sports analogy in the United States in one single blog post. If not, you pretty much give it your best shot. Thank you for sharing Michael Jacobs 👍.

I am barely aware of the store, other than that I remember Chick Hearn Lakers broadcaster who had all kinds of sayings when describing the game, "like the hot dog is off the mustard", and the hail Mary shot, and other silly sayings.  They are now part of basketball speak these days...A

Never heard of it but then again it doesn't surprise me. I live in my own world. 

I just cannot bring myself into investing in scams like Game Stop (even if it was a legal scam). I think I will just work hard for my money.

Hi Michael- I do remember the controversy. A sports analogy might be a call of Interference in a football game when the receiver is in position for a good catch.

I had to chuckle at your (as always) clever post today. My granddaughter  texted me from NYC when the controversy began. She had several friends who bought in early and made a killing..trying to beat the hedge fund players at their own game! Wasn't received well 😆.

I do sometimes get jolted into action because I want something I am not getting in my world.

Well I don't drink coffee or any caffeine beverages.  I have never had a physical slap in the face but had enough of the other kind from others  Now reality many times has caused a slap in the face than hurts more than any physical one would.  As you say often. I am a work in progress.  Sometimes it doesn't feel like I am progressing but in other ways I suppose I have. 

Hi Michael Jacobs - had I not spent many hours roaming the malls of America (snicker), I might not have realized what "Game Stop" was.  This was an amazing game of market awareness that cost some billions of $.

That whole Game Stop thing was pretty interesting. I love all your sports references. Fun read, as always!
