Game Stop
I almost missed the controversy around Game Stop earlier this year. Then again, anything that seems somewhat sports-related can fly over my head. But Game Stop piqued my interest because it had the retail angle to it which was familiar to me as well as various elements of surprise and intrigue. Very much like any good storyline.
Even if Game Stop isn’t a traditional sport in any kind of way, it might as well be since finding analogies can be trickier than prevailing in a game.
Sports and high-level game playing can each benefit from an assist to two, right? And while a home run is kinda cool, there’s something about a sacrifice that can be good for the sake of the team effort. Since it’s Sunday, should I discuss the obvious opportunities of a Hail Mary pass? Nah, my time on this subject is nearly over. Or is that overtime?
Or might it be better to stay focused on the goal? Come on, “putting on” ones game face works out well sometimes. And sometimes not. That’s how the ball bounces. More or less.
