Quality not quantity. Less is more. Say what you mean and mean what you say. These are all good adages. Its a reminder to me that when I blog, blog quality content. What is quality? I guess it dependes on your purpose. If you intend to connect with colleagues then do it well. If you are going to provide tips and help to client prospects, then be accurate. But most importantly, always do your best, which to me means several things. If you accept a task/job/challenge - then do it the very best you can. Don't take on too much or you end up doing it half-ass. Maybe we need to delegate. Maybe we didn't take on too much but the task changed. In that case, ask for help, or delegate.
I'm an avid follower of the ancient Toltect philosophy made famous by Don Luise Miguel, "The Four Agreements." A few years ago I had a major life change so I went out on a quest to search for the new me. The philosophy has become more of a life mission for me. Its easy to understand at first and a short read, but its way deeper in spirit. It's a way of being. When I decided to accept that philosophy I started looking at life differently. Always Do Your Best is #4.
One of the key take aways for me is that our best is not consistent. Love yourself enough to realize that some days are better than others. My life change set me back years. Take into consideration your mental and physical nature. But at the end of the day, ask yourself, is this the best that I can do? Am I being a quality person or am I just tryig to gain acceptance by others? Am I doing too much? If I did less could I perform better? These and other questions can help you gain insight as to whether or not you are being a quality person or a quanity person.
I hope this gives you some insight into your life.
Happy reading!
