I mentioned in a previous entry that I (Realtors) provide value among many ways, but one being a resource for helping buyers and sellers with vendors, home inspectors and more. While I provide this information, I usually try and give at least 3 individuals I can recommend for any service. Sometimes, it's only 2, but I always have at least 2 recommendations. I like for the buyers and sellers to make the decision on who to choose. Certainly, here in Florida, with the price of insurance, I'll provide some names, but tell them to check around, rates can vary and in fact finding someone who will write a policy is challenging here (depending on age of home, condition, etc).
But our value comes in more of course than being a resource for service personnel. Making sure time lines are met, that the buyers and sellers are aware of everything they need to be and (doing) to get a contract to closing. We help buyers and sellers so much just in the time alone that we save them because we're taking care of business for them. I guess that's why our time is our money. How much are you earning an hour?
