We have many avenues in which clients can use to contact us and sometimes it is tough to remember which avenue they took! I am a huge proponent of having things in writing, and make sure my clients know that upfront, so most communications are done with emails. However, when I went back to find an answer from my client, was trying to find the email and could not. I had to hunt through many different forms of communications and finally found what I was looking for!
Several years ago I set up a few separate emails, one for my current business which forwards to my phone. I have created folders in Outlook for all my current clients. Another email is for the emails I can read when I get back to my computer and read when I have more time. These are the emails from lenders (new programs, rates, etc), builders, ActiveRain comments, Facebook comments, LinkedIn requests, ads from stores, title company notice (classes, etc.) and any sites needing my email I don't want a bunch of emails to my business email. I also have another dedicated to my website.
Then I thought about all the other avenues we receive messages - Facebook and Facebook Messenger, texting, website (two of them) and sometimes comments on my blogs (several of them) and then of course - a message on my phone! There are times I wonder WHERE did they leave that message?
