Saturday Smiles: Ready to Bear Fruit!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Almost every nursery in town and in the wine country is carrying fully grown tomatoes plants with built in cages.  The plants have blooms and I spied a few tiny tomatoes also.

All you need is a sunny spot, water it, and the tomato will do the rest!  Of course you have to pick them when they are ripe.  Most of these plants were cherry tomato varieties, some grape shaped, and some round!

Wishing everyone an abundance of Saturday Smiles! Don't forget, Sunday is Mother's Day!

We got our tomatoes in the ground this week. They are wrapped snug in their little greenhouse wire cages to keep them warm until the temperatures heat up consistently.  A couple of them have a few blossoms on them already.

Mary Margaret has banned me from going back to our local nursery this year.  It seems as though that I have a problem.  I have filled our garden with way too many tomato plants.  I have zero restraint when it comes to tomatoes!  And basil!  Have a great weekend!

That is something that I should plant, I have heard that they are fairly easy to maintain and I love eating tomatoes!

Out tomatoes are flowering out right now Ron and Alexandra Seigel and am excited that we will have a few 'volunteers' from last year's variety, especially the Sweet Millions. They are tiny but packed with big flavor and perfect for Capreese Salad Skewers. Happy Saturday!

One of the days I was at the nursery, they had brought over 20,000 plants.  I think that more people are buying tomatoes and growing a verggie garden. A

Raymond Henson, eXp Realty We have 3 now, and two basil plants near them, one regular and one purple.  I am intending to get another one...pesto is great on fish too. And basil keeps the pests away....you have to have lots.  LOL A

Hi Ron and Alexandra,  Thanks for sharing the picture of these tomato plants.  We planted some last year, and had gotten only a couple of tomatoes off of them.  Maybe  we will try something like this.
