Said And Done

You have probably heard it.  Perhaps even said the phrase in passing.  But when something is said(or otherwise communicated) - is it really finished?   I have been thinking of closure and my mind wanders.  As usual my thoughts go in many directions. Yet they are not totally directionless.

Even a book might become an almost-accidental series of reading opportunities and an ongoing journey.  A conversation unintentionally cut short can become a saga of sorts.  We can cite even more examples in the real world or one that is presented to us in not-so-real ways.  For example, movies can spark sequels.  Even prequels.   Will it ever end?

And then there are serial relationships.  Or is that merely a long-lasting fondness for Cap’n Crunch which leads to an unusual relationship with ones cereal?  I digress.  Food for thought?  Or merely a morsel of levity as I ponder?

But back to my original thought - what is final?  That is, in the real world?  I am not attempting to discover the meaning of life.  It’s a subject that is obviously far too vast.

Accomplishments Achieved.  Accidents Avoided. Adjectives, Adverbs and Anomalies can certainly run amok. And let’s not forget about those Ampersands.

Annoying?  Perhaps to some.  But, of course, so are Alliterations.  Ah, the Additions seem to multiply like  Adbots. Access to all sorts of things like Adaptability and Adjustments can make one Agitated and grow a bit weary. .  Or is it wearier?

It’s not quite as simple as ABC but it’s rather basic at the same time.   When all is said, there is likely still some to follow.  To be continued?  I wonder. . . Yeah, I wonder on this Sunday. On any Sunday. And on any day.

My goodness, Michael..and I'm only on my second cup of coffee. My high school principal used to say "A word said is a word dead." I know what he meant but in reality, there are no real endings in life.

Good morning Michael! When I was growing up and heard the term serial killer, I did think it had something to do with morning breakfast

Joan Cox - it makes you wonder why serving so much sugar was ever a good idea???

Sharon Lee - well, there is that.

Endre Barath, Jr. - I am sure your two cents is growing interest.

Rocky Dickerson - and then there was that classic John Waters movie starring Kathleen Turner - Serial Mom.

Kathy Streib - see my response to Sharon Lee.  🙃

Morning Michael.

It has been years since I've had any cereal.  Said and done, haven't heard that one in years.

James Dray - sometimes these thoughts come to mind of sayings I remember(or think I remember) and it becomes a pondering(or perhaps) a random thoughts kind of post just to remind me if "it was really a thing" or purely imagined.  Trying to keep those brain cells churning.

Just when a book comes to the end, another continuation is written, further pulling the reader in to turn the next page. Nothing is ever final, it seems Michael!

Joan Cox - if we look at the "big picture" fires impact all of us even when they don't seem too be that close.  Of course, some may take that as too political.  Oh, well.

Roy Kelley - the ActiveRain notification system and my ability to respond seems to be more "in sync" than previously thought.  Delayed responses are kinda the "norm".

Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! - the discussion continues. . .

The circle of life at work? Who knows, but you're right few things are truly final. Seriel relationships brings to mind the current Bennifer silliness. Who cares?

LOL I haven't had cereal in years but, boy, I could sure go for some Lucky Charms about now, Michael!

"Said & done" to me is, if I say I'm going to do it/plan it, it's going to get DONE!

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD - I apologize for the delay in responding.  Perhaps in my tardiness, the entire discussion of Bennifer may have disappeared.  But, alas, it's still among us. . .     Life, and so many things within it, can be so fickle at times.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS - I wonder at times, if I am, therefore I ponder.  Or if it's the other way around.   Hmm, ah forget it. . .

Debe Maxwell, CRS - I wasn't as much a fan of Lucky Charms, I think it was my sister's cereal of choice.  Or was it Froot Loops?  Should I ask her?  She already thinks I "think" about some odd things.  🙃

Sharon Tara - what were parents thinking in those days.  Sugar is good for kids going off to school.   And "going off" seems rather appropriate once I think of it.  Do you remember Pop-Tarts too?  A sugary snack that was sometimes breakfast.  Mom said it was because we were good but later we realized she was likely just short on time.

LOL Froot Loops would have been my second choice - in fact, probably tied for first place! I'm sure your sister will have fond memories of those cereals too and not think you too 'odd' for asking! As for Pop-Tarts - YUM! Anything sugary and sinful was a favorite of mine!
