My grand kids live in Uniontown, Ohio and I fly them into Denver, Colorado once a year and always try to do things that they have next done before. Each year is a special event that they will remember I am the cool Grand Father to them.
In years past we have visited Denver Broncos training camp. The stock show in Denver along with the Rodeo.
Of course smowmobiling was a fun time and even my 9 years old got to race mini snowmobiles where we rented them on a small race track. They could not go on the 4 hours of trails we were on.
Of course Rocky Mountain National park is a major plus for all them to see all the elk, deer and even feed the chipmunks.
Of course they like the first time I took them to Hibach of Japan and now that is always a must when they come out (plus when we go back to Ohio).
We got up to Clark, Colorado to the cabin and spend time in the Hot springs in Steamboat Springs and doing some fishing in the river behind the cabin. The fun time also up there was to go horseback riding for the first time for them other then little pony rides at fairs. We also got to take in another rodeo up there.
I am the cool grandfather and have a t shirt from them to prove it.
Of course, I always have to ask what is the best thing we have done for the week that I know how I am doing with them when they come the next time.
