On the sidewalks little kids or BIG kids can play sidewalk games. It's fun to play Sky Blue or think about games or songs that begin with ABC.... Here are a couple of sidewalks outside the Seven Mile Cafe in Lewisville.

Some people like to shop. I like to walk and see what's up at the new Tanger®Outlets located next to the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth where my REAL ESTATE Office is located inside the Speedway. Tanger®Outlets has over 65 Designer Brands to offer consumers up to 70% less! You can connect on Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and TangerLife.com). Here you'll find sales, promotions, bonus coupons, and giveaways. What I love best is to connect with shop clerks and owners and the people. It's a good place to get ideas about branding, marketing, advertising, sales, purchases, and observe what makes people happy! I don't hand out my business cards to anyone like it was candy. I select wisely and enjoy listening to people and their needs and wants when shopping for trivial things or BIG things like HOUSES! What I discovered is that I don't have to go knocking door to door, I find where people like to shop and I get to know the people. As a result, happiness is all around me! --Patricia Feager

"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it." - ELIZABETH GILBERT, Eat, Pray, Love

Good morning, Patricia... one day when I get to Dallas you'll have to take me to the Seven Mile Cafe... it sounds wonderful. We have several outlets in the region and sometimes I take a break for a few hours and go and wander around them... never know what treasure might be found that makes a perfect gift.

Good morning Patricia! Funny thing is, if I saw that hopscotch court, I would have started hopping along it. At least once! haha

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello Patricia - your post serves as a reminder that there all kinds of ways to explore(and experience) our communities.  A nice approach.  It succeeds virtually and visually.

Nina Hollander, Broker and Kat Palmiotti I would love to have brunch with the two of you at the 7 Mile Cafe and depending on how the day goes, it would be fun day! At the outlet, I spent most of my time at Le Creuset talking to a lady named Jen. She was so knowledgeable about the products and we had so much to talk about regarding both of our businesses. From the cookware, I really liked the color Artichaut and of course, the blues. Their website is lecreuset.com. Oh what a world it would be if I had riches to spend on anything my heart desires! But if that was true, I would ask you both to meet me for lunch at some secret Island in the Caribbeans or fly out to Switzerland with all expenses on me! ha-ha that'll be the day but I can DREAM!

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP hi Patricia, our daughter, Carol, manages the Le Creuset store in Dillon, Colorado so I'm quite familiar with it. While it's beautiful cookware, I gave mine away a long time ago... it's very heavy and when you fill it with food or water it's almost impossible to lift! I only kept my Le Creuset Dutch oven.

Nina Hollander, Broker - Thanks for sharing the weight issue for the Creuset Dutch oven. That would definitely not work for me either. It's good to know!

Brian England - I can't eat sugar but I thought the bear was cute and after looking at my photographs, I got creative and wrote this blog post. Michael Jacobs it was so nice to be outdoors and discover all the shops were still in business and open! Although we don't have to wear masks anymore I felt many of us (myself included) felt a bit shy not wearing the mask! Almost scandlous or sinful... I did what other people were doing. Mask on... mask off...mask on...mask off and each time I did that I took a deep sigh of relief. The best part was, I wasn't alone.

Patricia,

It sounds like the 7mile Cafe is well worth flying to Dallas for.  I have been to Dallas and Fort Worth once, and we enjoyed our trip there.  We have landed in Dallas more times than I can count on our way to Miami from Santa Barbara Airpot, and also on our way to Europe...PS.  I feel free without the mask, and in some businesses around here, they are still required.   I frequent the maskless ones...Have a great weekend. A

Patrica I played a lot of hopscotch before I became a teenager and it wasn't cool any more.  But our hopscotch did not look as nice as that one.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - Going maskless is so liberating! I will never take freedom for granted. TX wasn't so restricted as other states. My heart goes out to those who had to live with more stringent local government lockdowns and regulations. Next time you have moe time at DFW Airport, let me know!

George Souto - My neighborhood friends and I drew our own sidewalk games with white chalk. I don't recall us having color chalk. Yes! I think the painted sidewalks look much better too!

Myrl Jeffcoat - As soon as I got out of my car and walked the sidewalk, I couldn't help but notice! Both entering and leaving the restauraunt put me in a better mood! Some childhood memories are worth keeping! Thanks for the FEATURE! I appreciate it and YOU very much!!!

Patricia, Your title drew me in and the Seven Mile Cafe sounds like my kind of place. I love this part of the quote by Elizabeth Gilbert "Happiness is the consequence of personal effort" and may share it with some folks who have yet to learn that.
