Arlene Trunzo/Broker owner of A.T. REAL ESTATE SPECIALISTS would like to congratulate her team (Patricia's Pooh Bear Posse) for collecting $12, 000 for the American Cancer Society. According to the Team captain Lisa Giuliano donations are still coming in. This is the third year Arlene Trunzo has collected funds for this worthy cause, every year collecting more than the last. The event was held June 13th at Wagner College 1 Campus Road. Most of our fundraising is done online through the ACS website; we also reached out to Lisa's school PS 95 ( Gravesend Brooklyn) and the students, plus many individuals and businesses by word of mouth.
This year's event was a theme event; each team was to have a theme. Our theme was that of a luau with our tent decorated as a tiki hut. Our team member Jennifer Giuliano sketched on two large foam boards a large man and woman with cut outs for their heads so people can stick their heads in and take photos. The team painted the couple and their attire in vibrant summer colors. That attracted a lot of attention. Arlene's team members were totally devoted to the cause. Arlene said her main team members attended every American Cancer Society Relay committee meeting that was held prior to the event which was held after working a long work day.
Donna & Sami Hajar were happy to host our team committee meeting s at their home...Team members Lisa Giuliano & Donna Hajar even drove up to Albany, NY to attend the Relay for Life summit so they could bring back fresh ideas and fundraising techniques for the event. Arlene is very grateful for the help she received from Mike Giuliano who helped us erect our large tent and helped with carrying everything to and from the Relay site. Sabrina Trunzo was able to get two special day of beauty and product baskets valued at $1,000 that were raffled the day of the event A special thank you goes out to A.F. Bennett Salon & Wellness Spa who donated two baskets.
