We see lots of tourists visit our beaches this time of year and many may not know that Clearwater Beach has a ban on alcohol of any kind. Being caught with any alcohol on Clearwater beach property can cost you a ticket of $113 even if you're over 21 - so my advise is "Don't get caught drinking on Clearwater Beach - leave the alcohol in your condo or at home.
While this may surprise you, it is part of Clearwater's on-going commitment to keeping our beaches family friendly and safe.
I know we've enjoyed living on Clearwater Beach in our home with our 2 boys, Sean & Alex. In over 15 years, I've never encountered a "drunk" on the beach - thankfully. So if you're looking for a great place to bring your family and own a beach home or condo, rent vacation property, or invest in Tampa Bay real estate - Jack and I can highly recommend owning Clearwater Florida Real Estate. Indiana has the same law for state parks... some of them are HUGE and great places to camp and have BBQs... DRY BBQs...
I am from Louisville, KY... every year for the Derby people have contests to see who can come up with the most clever way to get booze into the Infield at Churchill Downs.
David,
That is a riot - my husband is from Lexington Kentucky so we're familiar with the Derby - I bet you've got some good stories. Thanks for taking the time to view my Clearwater Beach musings! Have a great day.
Cyndee, I am glad to see that someone is doing something to take control of the beache sand keep the family friendly. THe weather sounds absolutely incredible, maybe I should buy a second home down there, :-0
