Charlotte region ended April 2021 with less than a 1 month supply of inventory of homes at 0.6 months (down 71.4% year-over-year).
New listings increased 32.5% year-over-year. Lack of overall inventory, which was down 66.8%, pushed median home prices up 14.5% to $315,000. Average home prices increased 16.4% to $377,643 for the month April 2021 compared with April 2020. Days on market until a home sold dropped 19 days from 39 days in April 2020 to 20 days in April 2021.
