Not a good day......

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

So, I have been working with a buyer client for a few months - new to the area and wanted to explore many communities before making a decision.  He was pre approved contingent on the sale of his condo in another state.  We finally narrowed down the community and was in search of the perfect home, when yesterday, after I emailed him the perfect listing to see, he informs me that his condo will be going into foreclosure!  Sorry, he says, I will not be able to buy anything, anytime soon..... ugh...

Not a good day ???? It is only 8am and the day is still to come.  It will be a great day becaue it is up to you to make that way.  New buyers will come along, this buyer has to go somewhere keep in touch with him.

How does someone not know this prior to spending your time looking? This is not OK, Steve

Good morning Susan - That guy knew he was having financial trouble, that was very inconsiderate of him to waste your time and gas.

I don't understand why some buyers like to use us as a taxi cab. Good Luck on the next one.

Ugh!  I hate to hear that for anyone!  I hope you advised to to explore the possibility of a Short Sale with his lender.  This might allow him to qualify to buy a bit sooner than if he goes through a foreclosure and might make you a hero so that when he can qualify to buy again he remembers you and asks you to represent him again!
