Isn’t There A Screen Saver That Looks Like This?

By
Home Inspector with Complete Home Inspections, Inc. TN Lic#050

As we all know, art is 95% inspiration and 5% perspiration, but in the case of ‘Bubba’ our unhandy handyman, it’s probably the other way around… While inspecting a rehab on the east side Nashville, TN, I was mused by this resemblance to an old screen saver. I guess that since ‘Bubba’s’ TV went on the fritz, he has had to turn to an alternative source of entertainment. Yeah buddy…

Now mind you, there are some issues in this picture, such as the dryer vent discharging to the crawlspace instead of outside the property and lack of proper strapping to support the plumbing. But for our ‘ol buddy ’Bubba’ this is quite a work of art.

What say ye…

I do want to send special thanks to the staff and management of Active Rain for featuring me in the member’s spotlight in their newsletter.

Have you joined my birthday alarm? It is fast painless and the best part of all, you will be helping me out.

That must have really taken a long time to get done. I can't get over how much wasted time and hardware can be wated on something a simple a plumbing. The dryer vent is a mystery.

Michael, when plumbing starts to look like some musical instrument for a giant----you know there is going to be problems.  Congrats on your feature

Michael, looks like good ole TN engineering.....very impressive! I am amazed at the lack of inspection  and codes violations. I live in a house right now (Davidson Cty) that was recently renevated and had an addition added and the stairwell from the second floor into the kitchen is missing a bannister post to the ground floor....so when one steps from the last tread, there is nothing to ang on to. My wife tierally fractured her ankle after being here for 5 days......absolutely ridiculous! And supposedly, Davidson County inspectors are the strictest.....whatever! The funny thing is the extra post was in the basement, which makes one wonder.

Anyway....good post!

WOW ..... That is a lot of plumbing in that craw space. It looks fairly new too with the bright white pipe and purple pvc glue.

Larry... Yes you are right about the amount of time and money wasted. A real plumber could have done that same job with less material...

Hal... Thanks for stopping by friend...

Bo...Yeah Buddy! Believe only 1/3 of what you hear about how stiff the codes department is here in Davidson CTY... Now if you want the real skinny, give me a call...

Sean... Brand spanking new... Yeah buddy!
