Serendipity Sunday: Echeveria-Aetna with Bumps!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

This is one of our favorite specimen succulents known as Echeveria-Aetna.  Echeverias with ruffled leaves and bumps are also known as gibbiflora hybrid. A simpler and more common name is echeveria with bumps.

From Mexico, this is a species that grows in rocky ground in the hills and mountain areas. Here this amazing plant receives perfect drainage, good airflow and hence low humidity, as well as good sun, however usually shelter from the heat of the hot afternoon sun.

There are over 1700 varieties of echeveria.  It is very happy in this spot, and it is thriving. We have also noticed that it has the beginning of a bloom in the center, which will soon grow into a tall flower.

Happy Sunday Everyone, and We Wish You a Great Week!

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - This one is most unusual. I've never seen anything like it. It should be interesting to watch and see how it grows. I'm guessing it requres very little water.
