"A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet..."
the great poet Shakespeare wrote.
Shakespeare's oft-quoted line is from Romeo and Juliet, the famous play about star-crossed lovers who unfortunately fall in love with people from the houses of their enemies.
Juliet (a Capulet) loves Romeo (a Montague). Sadly, the Capulets and Montagues are sworn and eternally feuding enemies. (Think along the lines of the Hatfields and McCoys or rival gangs the Bloods and Crips.) Sadly, their love love story ends in tragedy.
June 12 is Red Rose Day, which makes it a great excuse to "Stop and Smell the Roses" today.
