I got the above from Kelly's Tree House. Courtesy of Kelly's Tree House from Face Book.
It is during the worst storms that we face and go through that we will get to see, the true colors of other people and if they really have our back and care about us or they do not care about us. How many people do you think really care about you? Oh, you will find out. It will not be during your good times or times of prosperiety but during the times when you are down and sick or bed ridden. You will get to see who comes to see you in the hospital and who comes to see you at home during your time of need. I am better off knowing now, who has my back and who does not. I will endure and I will surrive.
I have been bed ridden 3 times in my life and during these times, it has been a time that I reflected on much and began to appreciate what I have as well as did not have. Let me explain. How many of you have had back issues or times when you just could not get out of bed or were just too sick to do anything? Do not worry. Those days are coming if they have not come yet and these days are very humbling to say the least. I remember not even being able to get out of bed because of back issues and asking others to bring me food and just leave the food at the front door. Did they do it? Not many helped and this got me to thinking why people would not help one another in times of need. Being bed ridden is one of the most humbling experiences I have ever gone through. I had to have doctors come to me to help me but I got through it. Painfully, I got through it.
We find out in life, who is there for us and who is not. Life may be good for people now when things are going well but just wait until you experience the day or days when you have needs. Who will be there for you in times of need? Who will visit you to bring you food or things that you need? It will be a most humbling time for us, this I can say. I have been there but going through all this, has made me a much better man, to say the least.
As John Wayne used to say, if you talk the talk, walk the walk. How many are walking the walk. You will see in time. Just wait. My day came and went. I am sure one day, I will experience times of need again and what I experienced was some thing that I thought I would never experience because I thought I had so many who cared about me.
I care about others and I care about serving the needs of others. I can not even imagine not helping others in a time of physical need or emotional need or just lending a caring ear to others. What you sow, you shall also reap. This came from the Holy Bible. Who can tell me what book of the Bible this came from?
